If a Jehovah's Witness does not believe in the divinity of Christ, evangelicals will generally say they believe in a different Jesus and are not true Christians. If Muslims believe in a Jesus who was not only not divine, but who never even died on the cross, we say they believe in a different Jesus. If a Full Preterist believes that Jesus is not going to restore the kingdom of Israel, will not literally and physically return, and will not literally and physically resurrect our bodies, they also believe in a different Jesus and are not Christians.

“Scofield Derangement Syndrome” on full display from this Catholic academic. It’s very common for supersessionists to blame the Scofield Reference Bible entirely for the existence of Evangelical belief that God still has present and future plans for the Jewish people. I’m a lifelong Evangelical, and I’ve never seen a Scofield Reference Bible in person so far as I know, and had never read any of Scofield’s study notes until a few weeks ago when @not_our_guy posted screenshots of some of them. Spoiler: they’re far more tame than Scofield’s haters imagine them to be. I’m quite certain that Taylor Marshall has never read them. But just imagine hating the idea that God is not done with Israel so much that you muse on X about banning a book. Insane.

Thank you all so much for your prayers. I’m being treated for ear infections and strep throat. So far I’m on day two of the antibiotics and still running a fever. 🤒 Hopefully soon I will start feeling better. 🙏

Just sent up a prayer! I had a mastoid infection once, on one side only & that was more painful to me than a migraine (& I get horrible cluster migraines that send me to the ER)! I couldn’t stand for anything to touch the area behind my ear, it was excruciating, I can’t imagine what both would feel like. I also prayed for that stubborn shoulder of yours. I remember when I fell and broke my upper humerus at the shoulder joint, tore up some muscle/ligament & broke it in 3 places (the ball end), but no surgery needed. It seemed like I was never going to get the use of my right arm back the way it was before. I couldn’t sleep on my right side for over a year, take a shower, do my hair, even just getting dressed. It seemed like the swelling would never go down & I’d never lift my arm again, I was so discouraged. It took over a year for it to not ache & to look somewhat normal (after 8 mos of PT). It took almost 2 yrs before it felt normal & I regained a normal range of motion. That was 8 yrs ago, & now you’d never know I’d done anything to it. But I starkly remember being discouraged & depressed that it took so long & that feeling of almost being useless. To be dealing with a healing surgical site w/rehab/PT AND the ear infections, I can’t imagine. It makes my brain hurt for you! I’ll be lifting you up daily to the Great Physician!

Prayers needed. ❤️ I have a double ear infection. My ears are swollen, lymph nodes are huge, and I’m in tremendous pain. I’ve been running a fever all day with cold chills. My doctor can’t see me until next week, so I’ll be seen by the nurse practitioner tomorrow. The last time this happened, it turned into an infection in my mastoid air cells, and I ended up losing some hearing. My shoulder is still hurting day and night, even though I’m continuing physical therapy. I had surgery on December 9, and my shoulders are still not even. The one I had surgery on sits more forward and looks larger. I have an upcoming appointment, God willing, but if my orthopedic surgeon doesn’t listen to me this time, I will be seeking a second opinion. Please pray the Lord will strengthen me. I’m under significant stress in my life which could be the reason I’m so sick rn.
