Loving these. Magnus and indeed the Sound Approach were instrumental in me starting up sound recording some years back. I'd highly recommend following them and reading their stunning books which are packed full of amazing stories and sounds.

I can't believe I find myself in the position to share this with you, but here is what I believe to be the first Irish sound recording of a Golden Eagle! It begins with a husky chattering from an angry Peregrine which was warding it off, & the eagle sounds like a yappy terrier!

Happy #StPatricksDay! In June 1963, JFK spent 4 days in Ireland. A descendant of Irish immigrants, he was welcomed warmly throughout his travels in the country, and met some of his relatives in the Kennedy family homestead.⁣

Wonderful undulating calls from a flock of airborne Irish Red Kites at Avoca, Co. Wicklow. Having been reintroduced in 2007, this is a very welcome returning sound - a sound which had been missing from our skies since the end of the 18th C!

It was a real privilege to get the platform I did on the Tommy Tiernan Show and to be able to bring Irish Wildlife Sounds to such a wide audience. It's been life-changing. It's just so uplifting to see the thirst people have for nature.

A Giant Seafoam Snow globe. Big seas following Storm Isha and Storm Jocelyn have whipped the sea and seaweed along the coast into a froth. The mix of waves and onshore wind blows the foam up the cliff faces, putting on this show. Cliffs of Moher, County Clare, Ireland.
