Since we are leaving the EU.. 😢 I'm 'adopting' these brilliant MEPs until we are back. 😃 @samiraraf, Samira Rafaela @TerryReintke, Terry Reintke @M_Landieri, Maurizio Landieri @karmel80, Karen Melchior @katka_cseh, Katalin Cseh ❤️🇪🇺 twitter.com/GreensEFA/stat…
Greens/EFA in the EU Parliament 🌍@GreensEFA

This is a sad week for Europe, but this is not the end of our story. 🇬🇧🇪🇺 As our former MEP @AlynSmith once said: "I am not asking you to solve our domestic discussions. I am asking you to leave a light on so we can find our way home" We will 💚🕯️ #Brexit

I feel @DavidHenigUK 's frustration: seems UK is destined to continue withering away in "special relationship" or resurrected British empire delusions, behind its descending Gammon Curtain. All the good work in my lifetime of renewing itself as a leading player in the EU, trashed
David Henig 🇺🇦@DavidHenigUK

One might add that the EU also has trade deals with Australia and New Zealand, and that the Commonwealth / CANZUK doesn't in fact want to be tied to a desperate UK. But who cares about facts when we can return to the dismal days of ignorance? capx.co/britains-futur…

@ZoeJardiniere @Dannny_K Matching is a left wing thing Zoe It is like preaching to the converted The Greens need the votes of people who never go to marches and especially the Reform types.

@StuartBudd1 @Dannny_K There will probably be 100,000 members of the public (of which I also am believe it or not) at this march.

@Dannny_K This is a bad take. This march is going to be v broad & big - it is intended to respond to Tommy Robinson’s ‘unite the kingdom’ rally & I believe it will be bigger than that was (with none of musk’s backing money) - an important symbol that love is stronger than hate in the UK

Exclusive from @breeallegretti Angela Rayner compared Labour’s struggle on the doorsteps to its difficulties under Michael Foot as she warned of a loss of support from both the party’s working-class base and professionals In a leaked recording obtained by The Times, Rayner said at a fundraiser for a fellow MP in central London on Monday night: “I can say after ten years on the front line of politics, it’s not easy. At times, you get knocked around a lot, and I know that’s the case for many of the people here. “And if you’ve knocked on a door recently — or even in the Michael Foot days, as my ex-husband says to me — it was pretty bad then back in the day. But you do get people who will attack and criticise you.” She said that people feel the system is rigged against them “People voted for change when they voted for us, because they feel the system is rigged against them,” Rayner said. “They feel that nobody understands and cares about the difficulties they go through. “This isn’t just people who you would naturally associate with struggling, naturally associate with poverty. But these are professional people, people that are working really hard, people that have got two, three jobs, and they’re still not able to get to the end of the month with their wage packet. “They need to know they’ve got government on their side, and they’re impatient for change, and I understand their impatience. So I think we have to pick more fights personally.”

I have made an interactive public version of this spreadsheet, with lists of known candidates for each party by constituency. There’s a worksheet on this file for each constituency. All data on it is provisional until 9 April. I’ll try to keep it up-to-date. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

@ebadju1 @tomisin_ms There is nothing moral or legal about ignoring the rule of law and citizens rights in order to feed your ignorance and racism. It is due to people like you that the EU has been forced to seek legal redress in order to uphold the TCA to defend their citizens from people like you.

@ebadju1 @tomisin_ms If you were not an ignorant racist then you would not be listing deport as your first priority. There is nothing 'sensible' about choosing to deport people for no reason. A friend was hounded out of the UK by people similar to you and she was an architect.

@StuartBudd1 @tomisin_ms Huh? You have the wrong end of the stick Stu. I’m saying there’s 3 easy things a British government should do to solve housing issues. -Deport -Ban foreign investment in residential property -Decentralise building and incentivise local build Sensible. Centred.
