Today, on the 160th anniversary of The Glasgow Academical Club, it was lovely to receive this great donation of a Barbarians signed shirt from c. 2000. @GlasgowAccies began #otd 21st April 1866

A few weeks ago we had a visit from some former #Westbourne pupils who shared memories of their #SchoolDays with us during an oral history session. We were also kindly donated some items for our school #archive too. Thanks ladies, we had a wonderful time!

Dating from the 1920s, this lovely framed photo with antique @BootsUK art dept label shows staff and pupils from Westbourne Garden School, including the two Misses Nielson's - one was Headmistress, the other was a languages teacher. #WomensHistoryMonth @womenslibrary

We are getting ever closer to our aim to receive #180bells to celebrate our 180th anniversary! Our archive Volunteer Mags has been busy organising the knitters, so far 95 people have registered, mostly from the UK, but also USA & Egypt 1/2 #ringinginthebells @GlasgowAcademy

We are always very grateful to receive donations to the archive. Last week, Carol kindly gifted several items belonging to her late father Colin, including (amongst other things) this wonderful sports cap. We do not have another example like it, so we are delighted! #archives

In our archive we are fortunate to look after the medal collection of former pupil Lt Albert Richmond Hunter, who died of pneumonia on 11 Feb 1919 during active service in #WW1 He served in 23rd (Tyneside Scottish) Bttn Northumberland Fusiliers #ArmisticeDay #WeWillRememberThem

It is always a pleasure to welcome former pupils, especially when there is a donation involved, too! It was lovely to meet Katrina, who generously donated some items of her old Westbourne School uniform. And, it still fits! #SchoolUniform
