Brad Pitt shares his favorite Adam Sandler story: A professor took Sandler out for a beer & told him to pick another career. After he made it big, they ran into each other. Sandler told his friends: “This is the only teacher who ever bought me a beer.”

@JVMonte2 Got both when I was a teen. The Beatles were a bit before my time. My teen years were Zep & then Bowie. Before soul, funk & jazz came along. The Red is good but for me the Blue id great.

The ultimate Beatles compilation albums were released on this day in 1973. The Red album spanning the years 1962-1966 or the Blue album 1967-1970. Which one of these two albums are you likely to play more? #Beatles

Metropolis (1927) was missing nearly a quarter of its footage for decades. In 2008, a near-complete print surfaced in Buenos Aires, bringing the film closer than ever to Fritz Lang’s original vision.

@MatthewHoult1 Must confess PF are a bit of a blind spot for me. Like the odd song & do like some bits & pieces of their music but not in a big way. They are clearly monumental talents & think title song of Wish You Were Here is a masterpiece. youtu.be/IXdNnw99-Ic?si…

"Jackie Brown is a film so cool & so breezy about middle aged people that feel the clock ticking. It reduces me to tears. I consider Tarantino a peer, but it is a watermark for how to shoot & film a scene with delicacy & compassion." -Paul Thomas Anderson

What's one of your favorite David Bowie songs? 🎶 David Bowie released his debut solo single, "Do Anything You Say," on April 1, 1966. It was a flop. His self-titled debut album released in June 1967 in both mono & stereo mixes didn't fair much better. But, in July 1969, he released the single "Space Oddity" a tale about a fictional astronaut from his upcoming 2nd studio album. The single became Bowie's 1st commercial hit, reaching the UK top five.

@DunningRoss @crockpics They were great that day. Day itself was pretty chaotic & given I was about 14/15 yrs old-scary but exciting. First use of lasers in an outdoor concert & apparently the loudest concert recorded at the time. While not Keith Moon’s last gig - it was his swan song in many ways 🥁🕊️
