Messari just published an in-depth report on Arcium and Umbra.
It breaks down how the two work together, how Umbra compares to mixers and privacy coins, and what the product stack looks like.
Full report linked below.

Public blockchains made markets programmable. They also made every balance, transaction, and contract interaction visible to everyone. That transparency creates a hard ceiling on what developers can actually build. @Arcium and @UmbraPrivacy are designed to break it.

After discovering he had several carryovers, he approached his HOD to 'sort' the results. The HOD agreed but informed him he would still need an extra year, resulting in an automatic extension.
His main concern was raising the 1.5 million Naira needed for the sorting. He was on the verge of giving up until his friend, the best student in the school, encouraged him to stay. Together, they devised a plan to get the money from his father.
The friend disguised his voice as a lecturer and called the father, claiming his son had been selected for an academic excursion to South Africa at a cost of 2 million Naira. Proud of his son's 'achievement,' the father sent the money immediately.
For a year, the father called constantly, asking why he wasn't back for NYSC, but the son kept making excuses until he finally graduated. Since the father was highly connected, the son later sent his best friend’s CV to him for a job placement. While reviewing the CV, the father discovered the phone number matched the one belonging to the 'lecturer' who had called him.
He realized then that his son and the friend had played him. However, to everyone's surprise, he still gave the friend the job. He felt that, at the very least, his son was now a graduate, something he once feared would be impossible to achieve
Is it better to have a "scamming graduate" or a "honest dropout"?

@AirtelNigeria 2hats wrong with your service, my OD wireless hasn't worked in over 24 hrs. This is wickedness
COINVERSE@TheKInKrypto
@graysu1t @justprotocol @AirtelNigeria And cheaper too, but I don't have Fibre X in my area yet. I'm using the Airtel until mtn installs Fibre X in my area. The airtel is not great, but it gets the job done and fairly reliable

@Clarayoatlast @OmoniyiShola5 I didn't really reconcile, but time erodes a lot, but the relationship is strained majorly. We all have kids now and everyone dey there dey. There are things they would have been benefitting from me that they're not going to get
English

@TheKInKrypto @OmoniyiShola5 My cousin accused me of stealing C&S church cap when I was 14years. We kept malice for 35yrs. We don’t talk when we see. I made d move for reconciliation 2years ago.

On my first day at work someone stole money and guess who was the first suspect? Me
It started with looks, quiet ones that followed me around without meeting my eyes, then my name began to move from one desk to another like something already decided.
Before I could even settle in, I was called into the HR’s office
The owner leaned back and looked straight at me
“You were the last person to take a file from my table,” he said
“The money was there before I stood up”
My chest dropped. I had never experienced this and how would I explain to these people.
He shook his head slowly
“This has never happened in this office before, in fact if you forget your phone, you will meet it after 72 hours”
At that point, tears have started to gather in my face. I was asked where I dropped my bag, and I told them it was on my chair, then the HR yelled that didn't I know there was a locker for bags? Told her I didn't know. Due to the yelling, I had started to shake. They asked one man to take me to the toilet and asked him to search me.
A few people nodded behind me like that was the final proof they needed.
“And unfortunately,” he added, “The CCTV close to that side is not working”
It felt like the ground shifted a little. I swallowed and tried to speak.
“Sir, I didn’t take anything, I only went there to pick up the file you asked for”
“Everyone went on break,” he said, watching me closely, “but you stayed back”
I nodded
“I wanted to finish some work… it’s my first day, I was just trying to do well”
The room went quiet in a way that did not feel kind. The questions came slowly after that
“Did anyone come around?”
“Did you notice anything strange?”
“This has never happened here, how come?”
I answered everything but it sounded weak, like the truth was not strong enough to stand on its own. When I stepped out, the office felt different, people stopped talking when I passed, someone pulled their bag closer, and that was when it hit me that no one was going to believe me. My legs felt so heavy as I walked to my desk, praying for the thief to be caught before the end of day. Even when I felt like using the toilet, I couldn't. I was so scared, someone will walk behind me and I would be asked to do it in a potty for them to be sure that I didn't swallow it
I was no longer the new guy trying to impress them, I was the suspect. I sat on my chair there, trying to stay calm, asking myself how something I knew nothing about had somehow found its way to me
Then the door opened and a boy walked in, looking like he had rushed. He went straight to the owner.
“Egbon mi,” he said, breathing hard, “I’ve been calling you since, but you didn't pick up. I've deposited the money and I want you to call her fo confirm.”
The room went still
“What money?”
“The money you gave to me this morning.”
English

@OmoniyiShola5 I spent more than a 500 naira on her the day before. I didn't let them finish. Packed my bags and returned to school as it was late to travel, left for home in the morning. They begged me to stay but that was a line crossed. That's when I stopped visiting any relative
English

@TheKInKrypto Not like she saw you take it. She just assume😭😭😭😭
English

@OmoniyiShola5 She wanted me to stop comin to her house. I go there after exams to for 2/3 days before going home. She has another cousin who does biz for her. That one said 50 naira is missing & I must have taken it. I told her I could hv given her 50 if she told me her madam money is missing
English

@TheKInKrypto You can imagine. Funny thing is that the cousin might even know you didn’t take it.

@benmurraybruce @elonmusk Why should he fix it, has BAT fixed any problems yet you support him. Please support Elon no matter just as you support BAT in failure. Manage it or switch to mtn
English

.@elonmusk I bought a Model S the first year you released it in California. I believed in what you were building. I got Starlink a few years ago in Nigeria, it was brilliant. Now? It only works between 11pm and 5am. SIX HOURS out of 24.
You’ve clearly oversold capacity and overloaded the network. In England, providers stop selling once infrastructure is maxed out. Why is Nigeria different? Because it’s Africa, the rules don’t apply? People here pay FULL PRICE for a service that works 25% of the time.
This isn’t innovation. This is exploitation. You took our money, saturated the network, and left us with a glorified paperweight for 18 hours a day.
Fix it or say it out loud: Nigerian customers don’t matter to you.
