I would love to see a chart/graph that shows the correlation between P8 and size of the year group - does this exist ? @profbeckyallen @BeckyFrancis7 @adamboxer1 @TeacherTapp @TeacherToolkit
English

@adamboxer1 @profbeckyallen @BeckyFrancis7 @TeacherTapp @TeacherToolkit Interesting - only 62 schools with a year group over 300. 24 of these have -P8. Of the 38 positive, one is a grammar, five are faith schools, five have English as second language. Lots to delve into hereโฆ Only 11 schools over 340 have a +P8.
English

@adamboxer1 @profbeckyallen @BeckyFrancis7 @TeacherTapp @TeacherToolkit Thank you - it always seems that the top performing school have a small intake - trying to find the largest with the highest P8 !

These stats paint a pretty bleak picture of the decline of arts education over the last 13 years ๐

What could a long-term teacher pay strategy do for recruitment and retention?
New insights from our NFER forecasting and scenario model, with @GatsbyEd:
- Teacher pay matters
- Pay isn't all that matters
- Pay rises won't solve all issues

What an amazing man @HarryAA100m is. He took time out of his busy schedule to wish my youngest a Happy 10th Birthday - a massive fan and itโs clear why he is the best Gladiator ! ๐๐๐๐ Have told him he also runs a bit ๐๐
English

@HarryAA100m Hi Harry - shameless ask โฆ.. my youngest son Theo will be ten on Friday and is obsessed with Nitro - you are brilliant ( I do tell him I used to beat you all the time at badminton but he doesnt listen !๐) - any chance you could wish him a happy birthday?๐คMr Legg

@Strickomaster @jcljane Sam - who do you use out of interest ? Thanks

@RogersHistory How much ppa is needed ? All our staff have 83% max lesson contact, with additional frees for TLR holders - I think this is fair and managable and certainly scalable.
English

My unpopular solution to the need for drastic increase in PPA:
Put whole school in the hall for 1 hour a day, plug them all into online learning supervised by a small non teaching/teaching team. Free up as many teaching staff as possible for that hour each day. Itโs a solution to โwe donโt have the money and/or extra staff in the system to manage extra PPA for everyoneโ. This is part of my โextra PPA by any means necessaryโ policy.
