I was handed the giant key to a medieval priory cared for by the @LandmarkTrust last weekend What is it like to stay in such a building? Here’s what I found…at Woodspring Priory, Somerset:

@WalkerMarcus But, it can (and needs) to be done. There’s a creation narrative needed to approach it, both ‘forming’ and ‘filling’. So often we priorities the filling, setting up community groups, planting churches, fun days… but we need to be involved in the forming too.

Went I was out and about near Melton Mowbray yesterday I was pleased to see some actually quite attractive new houses. One thing that struck me: there were all these new communities but none of them had things like pubs built into the plans, and I’m not sure they could be added.

@WalkerMarcus Be part of the planning processes. Connect with land owners, planners, councils, developers. Shape policy and plans. And, increasingly step up to deliver the infrastructure which is rarely seen as profitable, but has priceless social value.
