@RudolphN17 @Spurs_Optimist Just love that he has so much control/input - finally someone that knows something about football 🙏

Roberto De Zerbi is due for a full day of meetings at Spurs Lodge today, which will include:
🚀 Finalising his core backroom staff for the 2026/27 season, while also identifying additional roles he believes would give the club an advantage heading into the campaign ahead.
🚀Nick Stubbings and his team presenting their findings and planned approach to resolving the injury crisis that has engulfed the club over the past two seasons. Despite this, I understand the club are still not fully satisfied and want to bring in further expertise in this area.
🚀Andy Scoulding providing a raw assessment of the players who have spent the season out on loan identifying who should be given an opportunity in pre-season and who would benefit more from an early loan move being agreed. My understanding is De Zerbi wants stronger reinforcement here; he feels the club should either be bringing through more talent internally or, at the very least, generating greater profit from player trading to reinvest back into the squad.
🚀Vinai, Lange, Charlie Lewis and Nick Beucher outlining their expectations for next season and what they can do to support the Roberto in achieving these aims. Sebastian Kehl, while not the club’s first-choice appointment, is still expected to be announced in the coming days.
🚀 Roberto laying out clearly which players he wants moved on, which players he believes are untouchable, and stressing his desire for business to be completed early, very early!!
🚀 Roberto also has time scheduled with select players.
For the first time in a long time, Spurs head into the end of a season without uncertainty surrounding the manager. The club know this season has been a disaster, and they understand how quickly opinions can change in football, but there is a real determination internally to get this summer right.

@RudolphN17 Agree with the vast majority of these mate. Definite need to strengthen Gk and CF positions - yet to be convinced that Solanke should be the best we’ve got! And then just need to keep them fit!
English

I’ve always maintained that we have a strong and deep squad. The issue hasn’t been a lack of quality, but the sheer volume of injuries it’s genuinely hard to comprehend how we’ve had 7, 8, 9, even up to 12 players unavailable at the same time.
Looking ahead to next season, assuming we remain in the Premier League, the fixture load should be significantly lighter without European competition. That will make squad balance an interesting challenge. We’ll naturally look to add quality, but there’s also a clear need to give more minutes to our younger players to support their development and that may mean sending them on one final loan to aid their development.
This exercise is always contentious but this would be my ‘current’ Keep 🟢, Sell/release 🔴 and loan 🟡 decisions ahead of next season.

@JacoCats You’re buying stocks/start ups - everyone is at it, more and more - some boom, some bust, but unfortunately we’re not very good at it.

Disgraceful - to borrow one of Romero’s words from one of his recent outbursts. Romero on Casemiro, Argentina on Brazil, always an edge and that is a ridiculous, dangerous follow-through deserving of the straight red. Can he remain captain in the future? Once again Romero lets down team-mates, fans and manager. Heaps more pressure on Thomas Frank. Odobert sacrificed, enter the Dragusin. Down to 10, Spurs now a goal down. Crazy from their captain. #MUNTOT

Romero is sent off with a straight red… The right decision? 🤔

Thomas Frank is pushing Tottenham to capitalise on the opportunity of signing Raheem Sterling.
A loan or a very cheap permanent move is very simple and very possible.
Frank wants experienced winners and believes Sterling is still a top level winger.
Talks underway..

Xavi Simons was at his absolute best in a Spurs shirt tonight an outstanding performance.
When I said at the start of the summer that Simons would be one of three priority signings, most said we couldn’t attract him. Then he joined, dropped a few below par matches and suddenly most said he was rubbish and a waste of money, a sign we don’t attract top players.
Not sure which way the wind is blowing tonight with our bi-polar fanbase, but hopefully everyone enjoyed that performance.
Bravo Xavi 👏👏👏
