@TheDuke0fSydney Course not mate. Basically working early mornings outside with then BT Sport showing the A League. First game I saw was Victory drawing 2-2 at Adelaide from 2 down. And I was hooked since. Very rarely miss any game now despite kick off times. Alarm set for 3.55am for tomorrow

12 year old me didn't have a clue who this team were. I'd barely heard of Australia. Neighbours and Harry Kewell? But 20 years on its safe to say this is a massive part of my life. Taking my kids out to a game is proper bucket list stuff. Mon the Vuck

@3711kate @AnthF9 @victoryrewind I don't want to sound petty, but I really couldn't say what the club considers. I registered the business name in 2002 and trademarked it in 2003. I think I started working with Geoff Lord officially in Oct 2004. League launch was 1 Nov 2004. First official game was May 7 2005.

@fitba11 @anthony_mg_ That becomes a bit of a pandora’s box, as the business name was registered in 2002 and the trademark registered in 2003. If we’re gonna celebrate this year as the 20th anniversary then today is as good a day as any. Is there a date the club plans to acknowledge?

The independent Match Review Panel (MRP) has proposed a two game ban for Melbourne City skipper Aziz Behich for his stamp on Nikos Vergos. He has until 2pm AEDT on Wednesday to appeal.

@PaulWilliams_85 To be fair, that’s a particularly good statement. Still struggling to understand which angle of a deliberate stomp to the nuts implied it was accidental. But at least they’ve addressed it transparently as was their promise.

After seeking clarification from Football Australia around how this incident was missed by VAR during the game, they have provided this statement from Head of Referees, Jon Moss.

Football Australia has issued Aziz Behich with a Disciplinary Notice for the incident involving Nikos Vergos in the Melbourne Derby.

@PaulWilliams_85 So how does VAR miss this? Once again, the team it happens against gets no benefit (i.e. red card), but their rivals will benefit from his impending suspension.
