Slight push back, Aemon was forced to become a Maester by his grandsire because Daeron worried there were too many potential claimants to the throne and that it would lead to civil war. My lack of belief in Matt Lafleur has become a lot more to do with the "culture" aspects than game management. Back in the day, if someone touched Aaron Rodgers after the whistle, you'd be put in the dirt by 10 guys. Now, Jordan Love can be assaulted after the play and guys just stand around like nothing happened. Just a soft, passive team and it can't continue like this.
