The checks USC is writing to close recruiting deals would make Texas Tech blush. I’m happy these kids are getting PAID. But that puts a ton of pressure on Lincoln Riley to make the CFP every year. And has to keep players out of the portal. Otherwise money spent on nothing.

They have to spend money to recruit in these times but USC checks are BIG. Oregon and Georgia ain’t writing checks like that. My point was it’s a dangerous game with your roster paying freshman more than starters. And the 35 commits from last year with this class upcoming is going to get tricky holding on to a lot of those players especially at those prices.

Cal State Bakersfield is working toward hiring USC assistant Todd Lee as its next head coach, sources told ESPN. Lee has worked under Eric Musselman at both USC and Arkansas, and was 66-52 in four seasons as a head coach at South Dakota from 2018-22.
