@SnailTideway The steering shoe is the same as the others…except it has a hole drilled through the sole. Then you use a flattened old-style shoulder bracket & bolt in the shoe, put your hand in to stop it spinning as you tighten into the hex head nut the other side of the footplate. Cursed.

@Unirowing This is going to be a really stupid question but does this mean steering pairs of shoes are different from all other shoes and unique... And if so, just whyyy.

I don't normally have the misfortune of working with this boat brand. Is this steering set up with the spindle through the shoe normal? Or has someone bodged this. *screams at all the unique parts that I don't have spares of*
