@CAshfield_ @oaksandlions We have robins here in Central Indiana USA, but I don't know if or how they are related to your robins there. Picture looks similar tho? The ones here are a spring / summer bird. Hand sized. Dark coloured back of body & wings with orange front of body. Eat earthworms & insects.

@oaksandlions I’ve seen other robins in books, but they are not the same as ours. I believe Robins are a part of British consciousness from a long time ago. In the same way that Peacocks are a part of Indian peoples consciousness.

Native to Britain and found across gardens, hedgerows, woodlands and parks, it has become a familiar part of everyday life, especially in autumn and winter. A few facts about the robin: - Despite its small size, robins are fiercely territorial and will boldly defend their patch. - They often follow gardeners because turned soil reveals worms and insects. - The robin became linked with Christmas in Victorian Britain, which helped make it one of the nation’s most recognisable birds. - Unlike many birds, both male and female robins sing, especially during the winter months. A small native bird, but a very British presence.
