If I can give any SLT any advice… Don’t ask a member of staff to “pop by your office for a chat” That triggers people. Please give us the context and the reason and we’ll oblige. Staff trauma is a thing…

Harlem Coben has lots of easy reads as do Lisa Jewell and Shari Lapen Educated by Tara westover - true story, harrowing but one of the best books I’ve ever read, I couldn’t put it down

Sports Day 2024 complete. 10k steps by 8am! My House captains in House T-shirts for the first time and leading from the front. My home made medals went down well and my colleagues dressed up for the occasion. On reflection not the worst birthday I’ve ever had.

@RishiSunak Unless you need care due to illness and then you don’t have dignity or security you need to spend all the savings you had and when that runs out you get moved and get support. Whilst if you didn’t you’ll get help straight up

If you've worked your whole life, you should have dignity and security in retirement.

@londonteacher_ Sounds like tennis balls. I taught lesson 1 Thursday with a half full tub, came to teach Friday 2 (only 1 other tennis lesson had happened) and there was 3 balls left!

How is it that on Tuesday, every table in my classroom had a glue stick. There were two spares in my drawer. I wasn’t in on Wednesday and then yesterday I had NO spares and only one glue stick in the whole classroom. HOW?

@primaryteachew My fave is when someone has done this and shares it back with you as if they made it themselves. Unfortunately, I’ve had so much of my stuff passed on to others or even sold on TES with no acknowledgement that I’ve stopped sharing as much.

I find it really frustrating when people have so obviously used your idea and have not given credit.
