Powerful storm system to inundate the Middle East with heavy rain and thunderstorms -- including potential for massive hail and tornadoes. Yet another extreme weather event for 2026 -- part of a string of "code red" climate shocks.

Spring on the calendar ≠ spring in the forecast. Up to 20cm of snow + Arctic cold snap hits mid-week, right in the thick of calving season. Know what’s coming before it hits. 👇 ruralrootscanada.com/prairie-weathe…

At this hour, every station in Arizona and Nevada is recording a new *ALL-TIME* monthly record highs. Numerous other states have a majority of stations also recording new all-time high temperatures. Historic is, in my opinion, an understatement.

A "heat dome" or ridge of high pressure isn't unusual on its own, but the development and intensity of this event in mid-March seems unprecedented. What's special about this ridge e.g. storyline that leads to an otherwise unobserved or "unseen" extreme?

Warm weather - it was nice while it lasted. A return to wintry weather happens this weekend, with snow and blowing snow in parts of the prairies. And it could stick around for a while. An updated outlook is ready for your inspection at Rural Roots Canada: ruralrootscanada.com/prairie-weathe…

use headphones 🎧 and you’ll hear the tornadic rushing waterfall sound - what the iPhone mic doesn’t pick up well is a constant low pitched rumble that will change your life forever when you experience and hear it in person - 7/27/2025 near Gary, SD
