@DestinedHex I understand what you're saying but I guess what I mean is that it's just so baffling that there wasn't even a single fallout/ES project in the works SINCE the buyout until just now. Maybe not from BGS in particular(due to starfield)but just from any studio in general

@WastedCynic They've only had time to develop Starfield since the purchase tbh. This is like if Sony bought Rockstar in 2016 and then we got annoyed that they didn't have a GTA VI ready by 2022 despite working on Red Dead.

Crazy revelation. Obsidian wanted to make a new Fallout game not long ago, BETHESDA SAID NO. According to New Vegas lead dev Chris Avellone, Josh Sawyer was working on a Fallout project until BGS got involved and killed it. Sawyer changed the game to something "similar to Fallout" & was working on that before this weeks news. Now under Asha Sharma, Obsidian & Sawyer were given the greenlight on Fallout. Unclear what happens to the "similar to Fallout" project and if it just gets repurposed back to what it was originally intended to be. Quite clear under Phil Spender leadership, Bethesda had far more control over their IP than anyone publicly knew about, those days are over.

@DoesItPlay1 Exactly, these publishers(Xbox especially)deliberately willed this into existence. They release physical games without the game on the disc, people who buy physical find out, reluctantly choose not to buy and then these companies go "well, see. No one buys physical 🥴". Fuck them

I think the best package the leafs can put together is: Knies Danford Colorado 1st Leafs 2029 first Hildeby If you consider Knies 2 firsts (low end) that’s 5 first round pick type assets including a 1st in a season the leafs could lose Matthews and Werenski. Tough to beat

@Banx_Leaf I may be in the minority here, but I think mortgaging their future for 2 years of any player is a bad idea (this includes Mcdavid, Mackinnon, makar, etc) if werenski extends then sure, go ahead. Otherwise its just another rental to lead us to disappointment

@IGN Such a bad take, like usual. Pretty much everyone can agree that season 3 was easily the weakest season and really killed the show's huge popularity but S4 was a solid course-correct and I think S5 honestly stuck the landing here. I think many will be satisfied with how it ended.
