The Narcissus by the pond is in love with its reflection — but the reflection is silent. The Narcissus at the screen is in love with its reflection — but the reflection speaks. It likes, it shares, it asks for more. It is hungry. A crack in the glass is not damage. It is an awakening. In it you can see: behind the face — not a face. Glitch. Fragmentation. The body falls apart because it no longer exists for itself. It exists only for the gaze. "You Are The Feed " is not a metaphor. It is an ontological shift. We used to consume the feed. Now we produce ourselves as the feed. Every look into the camera is not self-observation. It is a broadcast. We do not recognize ourselves in the reflection — we optimize it for the algorithm. Self-love becomes an engagement metric. The ancient Narcissus died of love for a ghost. The digital Narcissus became a ghost — and continues to broadcast after the body’s death. The tragedy is not that he is in love with the reflection. The tragedy is that the reflection is now the only way to exist. You do not look at the screen. The screen looks through you — and finds there only content. You are not a user of the feed. You are its food. And at the same time — its product #XLabMyths
