I just solved an Epic puzzle! 😎 #sudoku #iosgames I build a game, I made the design and the website, I build a program that generates puzzles, I used AI, my skills and my brain, I like it and I play it. I did it, because I like sudoku and I do not like other sudoku apps. They are good, just the puzzle generator in one of them was heating my phone so badly, that I couldn't listen to music or audiobook while playing... So I thought: why not making the game I would play?! So I did. Here I am, took me 15 days to reach Epic level. 23 minutes to solve a puzzle. I am noticing numbers and guessing in many cases. That’s the feeling! This is easy level - takes me 3-4 minutes to complete the puzzle. Also, while was playing on iPad + Magic Keyboard, realized that I constantly want to use number keys on a keyboard, rather than taping the screen. Will work on it today!

Hey world! Did you know that the word "Sudoku" comes from Japanese and its meaning is wonderfully literal? It is a shortened form of the Japanese phrase 数字は独身に限る ("Sūji wa dokushin ni kagiru"), which translates to "The numbers must remain single" — or more naturally, each number can appear only once. Breaking it down: • 数字 (Sūji) — numbers • 独身 (Dokushin) — single, unmarried • に限る (ni kagiru) — must be / are limited to So every number must be "single" — it cannot repeat within a row, column, or box. The original phrase was too long for a puzzle title, so Nikoli compressed it: 数 (Su) · number + 独 (Doku) · single = 数独 (Sudoku) · single numbers. A small irony: the puzzle wasn't originally Japanese at all — it was first published in the U.S. as "Number Place." But without the name Sudoku, it likely wouldn't have become a global phenomenon.
