💔 RIP Ste, On Christmas Eve, U9s grassroots manager Ste Jones, his partner Ashley, and their 8-year-old son Charlie were involved in a horrific car accident after being hit by a drunk driver while driving home from watching a Christmas film. Our hearts are broken as we share devastating news from our grassroots football community. Charlie was incredibly lucky and escaped without serious injury. Ashley suffered serious, life-changing injuries, has undergone major surgery, and faces a long road to recovery. Ste was placed into a coma and, heartbreakingly, has since passed away. Ste was more than a coach — he was one of the good ones. A devoted dad, partner, and passionate grassroots football manager who always put kids first. He was a huge advocate for inclusion, helping autistic and disabled children feel they belonged in football. He was recognised for this incredible work with an award this summer.
