We had a great call today with Chairmen @SenatorTimScott and @JohnBoozman who confirmed that a markup for Clarity is coming in January. Thanks to their leadership, as well as @RepFrenchHill and @CongressmanGT in the House, we are closer than ever to passing the landmark crypto market structure legislation that President Trump has called for. Decided to have a real look at Midnight ($NIGHT). 🧵 Basically, Midnight is a sidechain designed to act as a privacy layer for Cardano, Bitcoin, and several major chains. It stands out in three ways: multichain integration, selective disclosure, and the tokenomics of DUST and NIGHT. The entire supply was airdropped to tens of millions of addresses across several major chains - primarily Cardano (50%), then Bitcoin (20%), and then the rest. The NIGHT tokens are claimed on Cardano as CNTs, but can be bridged to Midnight directly, where they act as staking tokens providing economic security to the network. What's cool is this: you don't need NIGHT per se to pay gas on the network. Rather, network fees are paid in DUST - a non-transferable network resource passively accumulated by NIGHT holders proportional to their holdings. New DUST is generated in perpetuity, but auto-expires after thirty days. This is a clever model: it allows an easy way for dapps and marketplaces to sponsor user transactions forever with a base of their own NIGHT holdings. Users of all chains don't need to buy another gas token, and the NIGHT token doesn't need to be inflated to make it accessible. It also promotes "rational privacy." The NIGHT supply and transactions are public from day 1, making the token viable for listing on public exchanges. Midnight transactions are private by default, hiding senders, receivers, balances, transaction amounts, and token types. However, with ZKPs, users can selectively prove certain facts about their data, like age verification, sufficient collateral, or transaction validity. This ensures the dapp ecosystem remains open for applications that require transparency and that seek to fulfill regulatory needs. Looking forward to what strides Midnight can make to help bring privacy to Bitcoin in the future. Will circle back around as the eco matures.

I've been working on the Fireblocks integration since a few months ago and I want to share why Fireblocks engagement is a major milestone for Cardano and every project issuing CNTs We have now signed and kicked off integration with Fireblocks to deliver a full Cardano stack for their institutional clients. Fireblocks is building dedicated SDK and tooling around Cardano and CNTs, including support for CNT transfers, balance and history queries, $ADA staking and governance, a unified SDK with a simple interface for customers and webhook capabilities so exchanges and institutions can properly monitor $ADA and CNT activity. On top of that, Fireblocks will be using Iagon’s Insights API. That means when a Fireblocks client wants to run Cardano infrastructure or query the Cardano blockchain, they will be able to do so using enterprise-grade nodes and analytics powered by Iagon in the background. Fireblocks today is one of the core infrastructure providers for the institutional side of this industry. Their platform is used by over two thousand organizations, including names like Revolut and BNY Mellon and is connected to major trading venues and exchanges such as Coinbase International Exchange, Crypto.com and Binance US, among others. Many of the banks, fintechs, brokers, custodians, funds and treasuries that touch digital assets already rely on Fireblocks as their operational backbone. This integration is about making Cardano and CNTs operationally straightforward for serious institutions, and about placing Iagon’s compute and insight capabilities within that flow. I'm genuinely glad that negative weight is off @IOHK_Charles' shoulders with the audit now public. I can only imagine how that felt after so many years of hard work poured into Cardano. I say this as a builder - persistent negativity doesn't just demoralize teams - it warps the culture around them. Enterprises and partners notice how a community treats its own. I've sat in those rooms - people do assess tone, conduct and how disagreements are handled. It influences whether they engage. We can and should critique. That's how we improve. But there's a line between testing ideas and attacking people. If something's wrong, bring evidence. If something can be better, suggest a path. If you're uncertain, ask questions in good faith. That's how you earn trust, internally and externally. Let's keep building, hold each other to high standards, and model the kind of professionalism that attracts serious partners.
