The April State Work Period was an excellent opportunity to spend time with Arkansans and have the face-to-face conversations that help strengthen our communities and guide my work in Washington. His statement 👇 “House passage of a bipartisan Farm Bill 2.0 is a testament to Chairman GT Thompson’s strong leadership, and I congratulate him on this significant achievement. This is an important step toward updating long-overdue policies that support our farm families and strengthen rural communities. We’ve put more farm in the farm bill through the Working Families Tax Cuts, and this legislation builds on that success. I remain committed to working with my colleagues in the Senate to continue this momentum and deliver Farm Bill 2.0 to the president’s desk to be signed into law. Significant investments and deployment of innovative technology like this latest U.S. Steel facility in Mississippi County demonstrate profound confidence in our business climate and skilled workforce, which local, state and federal officials have all worked tirelessly to foster. I'm pleased Big River Steel is adding a new chapter with this historic announcement and look forward to the economic benefits it will deliver for workers, the region, our state and nation.

Arkansans with the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association visited with me to advocate initiatives that support over 130,000 carriers nationwide. I appreciated our discussion about improving quality of life and safety. We’re grateful for their work in both rain and shine. #ARinDC

Yesterday at USDA HQ, @SecRollins gave a MAJOR update on our bold actions to deliver affordable fertilizer to American farmers and secure our long-term supply chain.   This challenge has worsened for decades, and now our farmers are left with high fertilizer costs. Joined by @SecretaryBurgum, @EPALeeZeldin, Director Hassett, Secretary @howardlutnick, @SenJohnHoeven, @RogerMarshallMD, Senator @JohnBoozman, @RepAshleyHinson — The Trump Administration is tackling this head on NOW! We’ve issued Jones Act waivers, lifted import restrictions from Venezuela, announced rewriting of EPA DEF rules, pursued a USDA and @TheJusticeDept MOU on antitrust enforcement, and @SecScottBessent has encouraged the G20 to stand against export bans.   At the same time, we’re rebuilding long-term domestic production through a combination of expediting projects under the @usdaRD Fertilizer Production Expansion Program (dozens of companies advancing), tapping into @CommerceGov's Innovation Accelerator and @ENERGY's Energy Dominance Financing Program, and streamlining permitting. President Trump is securing our fertilizer supply chain NOW and for the future. 🌱🌾🌽
