While E33 is easily my game of the year, my main reason for loving it is not that it’s “oooh soo new sooo innovative”.
The opposite, actually. It selectively mixed and matched elements of many games that inspire it and polished them into one masterpiece concoction of a game.

No exaggeration: Expedition 33 is the kind of masterpiece that’s going to be impossible to ignore in any future discussion about games. For gamers, it’s basically mandatory education and core curriculum.

I remember how many times I got ripped during the season about bringing John Gibson in (who wanted to waive his NMC for Edmonton). I got destroyed to pieces for saying Skinner and Pickard aren’t good.
I wonder how those fans feel now

#Oilers become the first team in Stanley Cup Final history to win a game when trailing 3-0 after the first period. Teams with that lead were 37-0. They’re now 37-1. Edmonton needed OT to get it done, but Leon Draisaitl played hero again to send SCF back to ‘Berta all square.

I’ve been asked the question of “what’s more painful, your favorite team making it far and losing, or not making it at all?
While last years #NYR playoff exit was heartbreak, being this angry and disappointed hurts more I think.

I've been getting back into speedrunning again on a regular schedule and man it is good to be back. Good to see so many familiar names again in chat. My excitement for it is comparable to 2015-2016 levels.
