Having listened to TTPD all day, I really love a lot of the lyrics and the General Vibe, but I already cannot remember a single melody. Love her, will listen to this A LOT for sure, clearly it's WORKING for her, but I don't know! I wish the music was as ambitious as the lyrics!

@Laffers18 And for the tax thing, every state/province taxes according to their infrastructure needs. Canada has 5% tax at the federal level and then provinces decide whether they need to generate income from having provincial tax on top of that.

@Laffers18 They FINALLY got Apple Pay and tap because of the pandemic. One year I was trying to use a chip credit card at Starbucks during SDCC and got super confused when they asked me to swipe and sign. I was like, …what is this? And my bank is one that is slightly ancient for tech. 🙈

@AngieBlackerr Thank you. 🥰 It’s been happening for a while, and is probably made worse by our healthcare being publicly funded. I have gotten into way too many fights about the importance of things like vaccines since the pandemic started, and it’s getting exhausting.

Working in healthcare has always been political. All I wanted to do was help people by working behind the scenes, but apparently getting frustrated by a lack of funding (or cuts to funding) and being left to drown is “political”.

@sammyjo141510 @UrsulaV I could do PPZ the movie, even with the zombies (I forgot I was afraid of zombies until like two hours before going to the screening, lmao), but couldn’t do the book. The self-harm just became horribly awkward for me who could have self-harmed when I was younger but didn’t.

@UrsulaV It took me a week to struggle through Pride and Prejudice. But I got through Pride, Prejudice & Zombies in 2 days, and that knee was more entertaining.

I fear that I am about to turn Romancelandia on me, and I regret and fear it, but I must speak my truth. I am finally reading Pride & Prejudice and Mr. Darcy can get bent.

@some1tookmename Not that it made much of a difference to me because my siblings and I weren’t allowed cell phones until we turned 18 and could pay for our own.

@some1tookmename Maybe it’s because I’m Canadian, but we weren’t even allowed to have our phones in class. They had to stay in our locker at all times and we could have them at lunch. Although I just realized why US students would want their phones with them. 🤦‍♀️

It’s “fun” how, the more I work on the presentation for this research project, the more stuff I find to put into the actual paper because it would be relevant. 🙄 At least I’m finding the flaws in my paper now, instead of when I’m presenting it?

I guess I’m hiding in my Following tab because I haven’t seen Good Omens season 2 yet. I could also start budgeting for some trips now that I’ve registered for things.

@seananmcguire I’m currently testing negative but I also was wearing KN95s everywhere. I was sick leading up to/during the convention, so I masked. There was a Wynonna Earp convention a weekend or two before where there were 42 confirmed positive cases the last I heard, which made me mask.

As SDCC appears to have been a super spreader event, it's not too late for other conventions to reinstate their mask mandates.
