My yellow badge makes me easy to recognise as a doctor, and people don't need my first name for that. Always happy for colleagues to call me Becky, but professional distance is a thing.
Some cases should be scheduled as the only operation of the day, as you won't have energy afterward regardless of when they finish. An example is takedown of an enterocutaneous fistula. Fortunately, those who ought to be doing that case have generally learned this already.
