Today I met with Hon'ble Minister, @pib_MoSJE Shri @Drvirendrakum13 ji in Delhi and formally submitted a partnership proposal for Beggars Employment Exchange (BEE). The #BEE targets to train, recruit and provide sustainable employment to 100,000 beggars across SMILE-Beggary project cities of the Ministry. The Minister has promised to convene a follow-up meeting soon to discuss the operational details. l was accompanied by our Delhi-based tech-partner Avinash K Singh who explained #BEE to the minister. We also presented the Minister with a photograph from August 2025—a moment where he and Justice Shri V. Ramasubramanian, Hon'ble Chairperson, @India_NHRC congratulated beggar-turned-entrepreneur Mrs. Mirchmala Devi on her historic appointment as a Director at @BeggarsCorp. #DonationToDignity #PovertyToProperty #startup

After consulting different sections of the society, including retired justice, top bureaucrats, senior advocates, spiritual leaders, and social workers, Citizens for Begging Free India today sent a letter to the DM, Indore, with copies to the Chief Secretary, Govt of Madhya Pradesh, and Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt of India. Confrontation with citizens can never be a solution to an age-old socio-economic problem like extreme poverty & beggary, but cooperation can be the key. We hope the government will act with vision, patience, and practical programs to solve the problem instead of suppressing it. We also thanked the DM for following our DON'T DONATE call to the citizens. We suggested he also implement the second part of the call INVEST and provide sustainable dignified livelihood to the beggars, as per the observations of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. The @IndoreCollector has issued orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, (BNSS), to arrest the humanitarian citizens who help the destitute beggars. Time to move on. I joined the Industries Department on 4th march 2022. It has been a satisfying stint of almost 2.5 years. With contribution of all team members, we focused on making Bihar one of the attractive investment destinations, and achieved success to some extent. There is still a long distance to go, but the start has been made. I am sure Bihar will emerge as a manufacturing hub of the country in coming days. From Startups to MSMEs, from MMUY to Handicrafts, the department has unimaginable diversity. Of course, I could not do justice to many of them but I tried my best. Thank you team Industries, from senior officers to young asst directors, from IEOs to consultants and from IDA engineers to BIADA officers. And thank you investors, large and small, who trusted us and made a beginning. It was really an honour to work with all of you. Moving to join Ministry of Steel, Government of India as Secretary.
