I too don't like any job that wouldn't allow me attend weekly services, but there's another option which is online programmes.
He was sincerely ignorant so that's why I don't want to be critical of him.

My uncle turned down a life-changing job offer for God.
His son believes he chose poverty instead.
He was a secondary school teacher in Ogun State. Just enough to survive.
Then an offer came. Better pay. Better structure. The kind that changes a family overnight.
One condition, church activities would become weekends only.
He turned it down.
No job was worth weakening his faith.
Years passed.
Life did not reward the sacrifice.
Today he calculates the price of garri before buying.
His children grew up watching survival instead of stability.
Whenever the story comes up the father speaks with certainty.
The son listens with frustration.

My colleague told me today that he has spent ₦300,000 on food in just 10 days.
This is someone who brings neatly packed meals to the office every day. The moment he opens his lunch box, the aroma fills the whole place.
Sometimes, I tease him;
“Mr. Kingsley, your wife is really trying ooo. Cooking every morning… you’re a lucky man, sir.”
He would quickly shut me down: “Ebun, stop joor. Which ‘trying’? The only thing she knows how to do is cook. She doesn’t know anything else. If not for this food, I would have divorced her. She and her mother are frustrating me.”
I would just reply, “Okay oo,” even though I knew the woman was trying. At least, he was eating good food every day.
Then last week, he told us his wife had travelled. Since then, he has been buying food outside for himself and his four kids.
This morning, I asked him how he was coping.
He said, “Ebun, my wife is really trying ooo. Do you know I’ve spent almost ₦300,000 in just one week on food alone? Meanwhile, what I give her monthly is just ₦120,000. Do you think she has been adding her own money?”
I told him, “Yes, she definitely has.”
He's buying her a gift when she returns.

The cab driver that picked me from Isi-igbo airport charged XYZ...I obliged..told him to take me to Ada enyi restaurant..asked him to take food..this guy's bill was 13,500...my bill was 4,500...onyebem's bill was 5k...I just laughed..man took 2 extra goat meats plus 2 beer.

One of the most painful experience I have ever felt was when I went to Abuja last month I requested uber from my apartment to get food. Trip cost was 2500 naira. Uber guy arrived and decided to branch filling station to buy fuel before heading to destination… He asked for 5k fuel and I was quite surprised he asked for a fuel that small considering his tank was empty empty. I asked him why so and he said country is hard and he was struggling. So I asked the fuel guys to fill up his tank which cost approx 70k. In addition to that I also gave him 50k as a gift. He told me I should always feel free to contact him if I ever need a ride and I asked if he was free next day cos my flight was for 7am. He said sure. Next day he picked me up and dropped me off and to my greatest suprise man asked me to pay double the fare to airport because ‘he picked me up early’ My life flashed twice. I couldn’t believe what I heard. Humans are ungrateful and tbh everyday I am reminded that the major reason some people are far from their blessings is simply because they are unwilling to make sacrifices or just simply pain greedy. Till today I still have that flashback and I get angry over again when I remember it. Not exactly angry because of the money given because I mean I did so with zero expectation and will do so again and again but because it hurts soo much that said young man just lost a beautiful opportunity to know me better and probably get an opportunity to work with me beyond that day. I dated a man once, and because I called him at 1 AM and he picked up right away, I was like, “Could you please come over?” I wanted to hook up with him, and we had been dating for a while, so we had already crossed that point.
