2025 has been an incredible year for Gleam adoption, but sadly not for funding, with GitHub sponsorship dropping ~10%. It's not a disaster as we're careful with finances, but it's not a good trend.
How can turn users into supporters?
A sufficiently funded ecosystem benefits all!

@FranjoMindek @ThePrimeagen There are 4 language servers, the last one build by the 3 developers of the ‘soon obsolete’ ones. It’s alpha release happened a week ago.
The 3 older LSP’s aren’t that bad though (last check: 2 months ago)

@kasvith @ThePrimeagen The ever improving new typesystem in Elixir really helps with it; but look look up the “let is crash” philosophy (aka: happy path programming ) as it’s a founding idea of the BEAM.

Big thanks to @whatyouhide post on gen_statem, which gives great examples and was much easier to digest than the official docs. Once I read through this, the official documentation finally made sense.

I implemented my first gen_statem for an internal generic backoff supervisor process. This was previously a GenServer that was really hard to follow and had a few latent bugs.
