@aaalllday @LakersReporter Injuries happen to other team's players along the way. Look at the major injuries to other star players this year and last year and they can happen at any time. So you don't know if we can get through any round.

Houston just lost to Minnesota, which means the Lakers can clinch at worst the No. 4 seed with one win, either tonight vs. PHX (up 61-52 right now) or on Sunday vs. Utah. Another Houston loss (vs. MEM on Sunday) would also lock LA in.

What an unbelievable job by Alex Vesia. The Blue Jays had the bases loaded and nobody out down 3-1. Vesia got three outs — two fly outs and a strikeout — without allowing a run. Absolutely incredible stuff from the Dodgers reliever.

Rough outing for Roki Sasaki against the Nationals. Final line: 5 IP, 6 ER, 5 K — but the long ball did the damage. A 2-run shot from Luis García Jr. and a 3-run blast by James Wood proved to be the difference. Sasaki showed flashes with the strikeouts, but command mistakes over the plate cost him tonight. Luka’s long-term health should be the No. 1 priority for the Lakers organization right now over whatever playoff run they think they may be able to make. Rushing him back from a soft tissue injury just isn’t worth it.
