Boyd in form but prob playing at or close to his ceiling, vs out of form luke but backing him to get to his higher ceiling.

Imo luke mainly just brings speed following up line breaks as a 6/ playing left, his playmaking goes quiet when hes not the guy and he seems more comfortable on the right/1st reciever in middle
Long term its a lot of cap we are sinking if hes gonna be a supporting 6 not playmaker

Happy to be proven wrong and can't deny the form Boyd has been in but I struggle to be convinced by boyd-met halves pairing.
CHT plays left and as a 6 best. Boyd and luke both better when given the reigns at 7, and I think ultimately you have to pick one unfortunately

Lost the middle, lost possession dominance at the wrong time.
Right edge defence going back to shit with niukore returning isnt a coincidence, lateral speed is too slow especially when our middle was massively compressed.

@mollogio @FanaticsNrl Have a look at the numbers on those tries pretty sure CNK and Dal are defending 4 or more, bit rough to call it poor reads if your inside players have sold you down the river.
Our middle got compressed and niukore and boyd aren't good at sliding out quickly enough to make up

@bendeeble @FanaticsNrl CNK can't play centre. 3 tries directly from poor reads. It's a specialty position. But I respect anyone's opinion. Hopefully they can work it all out. Long season. #UpTheWahs

@antonposa Whole team looked pretty flat tbh. Also weird use of the bench to not play Vaimauga I thought. We lost the middle while Fish was off the field and that hasn't happened to us so far this year.

No excuses tonight. Tigers wanted it more and defended better. Congrats to them, thought they were fantastic.
Some pretty glaring issues for us. The CNK to centre idea didn't work, for me. Defensively the tigers exposed us heaps down that channel.
