@David_Dein_FC In this situation, you don't blame Zubi, if Rice had dropped to get the ball the player with him would follow him and allow Raya to play the ball to Gabriel, and we start the play, instead of calling someone behind you to come and get the ball

Players like Rodri, Bernardo, Jorginho, Fernandes, Guimaraes or even Alex Scott would drop deep to receive and create passing options. I’ve never seen a metronome hide from the ball like this or show such poor awareness under pressure. We’ve basically got David Raya doing the playmaking from goal.

This team has outgrown Odegaard as a starter. It's just the sad truth. Arsenal needs a gritty yet technically gifted player as the playmaker and not a ballerina that looks sexy on the ball yet deliver subpar end results.
