@bfhermann Perhaps you should choose to be kind. If you read his obituary, it clearly states the contributory role of medical training in his death. ALL residencies are overly & needlessly taxing, but especially for those who go above & beyond for patients & families, as Dr. West did.

@bridget__marc Wasn’t the person in question an ophthalmology resident? Historically that would not be considered an overly taxing residency in comparison to other specialities. Perhaps this was more of a personal mental health issue than an environmental one.
