There's a reason why @sighswoon is the only person I've ever invited on my podcast. Artists, order her book.

Been sitting with my book for a week since it became physical. I’ve read it three times. Once when it arrived, then again after Isabel read it and gave me her review, then again when Lihi read it and gave me her review, through their eyes. And of course, the dozens, maybe hundreds, of reads when it was still in my laptop being passed between editing stages. It hits different every time. I always notice something new. The thing about poetry and prose is that you think you’re consciously writing all of it, and then you realize how many more meanings and shapes were made within those sessions while you weren’t looking. It’s very mysterious. Some decisions in the writing and formatting are my own, others, I couldn’t tell you. Reveals. This book is a few things. A conceptual journey designed by an adventurous Virgo with a background in contemporary art and internet archiving. It’s a journey that doesn’t wish to keep you long but aims to cover it all. It wants you to be satisfied but wanting more. It’s a transition from the poetry-dominated format in Notes on Shapeshifting to my longform memoir prose format. It’s short then long then short. It’s internet then nature then internet then nature, ultimately marrying both, making them hold hands. It’s a bridge and a resting place. It reminds you what you already know. I confessed a lot of secrets here. I took risks. All out of a sort of service and desire to capture the current zeitgeist while letting my own voice flutter across it. That’s all life is now. A long gaze into a funhouse mirror reflecting the collective consciousness, all while remembering yourself and your sovereignty within it. I reckon with all of these ecosystems. And I had to. Something feels so complete after this. This book is the finale of countless experiments of the past 3 years. Truly. Experiments in sex and love, experiments in God and the internet. Wow. In the next two weeks, books will start to arrive for everyone who ordered. I will pay attention to every single tag and comment. I want reviews. I want your favorite page. I want to know what hits the most. I want to see your cat and your living room and a tanned belly on vacation. ~*~*~*~*~**~~*~*~*~*~*~****~* Order from any of the following to receive it soooo soon: ⊹ from Barnes & Noble: t.co/S7bqul3GHq ⊹ from Amazon: t.co/UE7xAKOFKU ⊹ directly from my publisher , Not a Cult: notacult.media/products/pract… @notacultmedia

the scariest & most beautiful thing about life is that one person you haven’t met yet could make everything before them feel like preamble.

Some people stay alive because they want to see what happens next. But artists stay alive because they want to create what happens next.

Social media isn't about winning over the public, a process which generates near nothing of value , It's about expressing yourself so honestly that you attract twin hearts with whom you then go to various "second locations". It's a beautiful system

Being an artist is a sometimes lonely path. Is the price of solitude worth it— to live a life of doing what you love?

I never told anyone I wanted to become an artist. I just started doing it. Like a maniac. That’s all it takes. One day, you simply DECIDE. And then you follow it up with such overwhelming intensity that improvement and recognition become inevitable. #truthlotion
