Perhaps they should have tried weaning her from morphine and moving to alternatives instead of setting her up for organ harvesting. This is the most shady sad event.

Her life had struggles, but all of them had many answers other than murdering her for organs. She could make a life that makes sense for her. Where was the help to support her in that?

@CassandraRules Other than her decision to allow someone else to kill her, her agency was completely taken away. She was paralyzed and that would serve as a constant reminder. What I'm mad about is that the rapists are still alive. She should have lived long enough to see them flayed.

They’re saying that reversal isn’t an option because they already have recipients waiting for her organs. This is horrific. When we said the euthanasia program would be pushed for organ harvesting, you called us insane and conspiracy theorists. I hate that we were right, again.

Noelia Castillo Ramos is 25. After a life marked by abuse and sexual assault, and a suicide attempt that left her paraplegic, she is scheduled for euthanasia. And this is where we are. A wounded woman, in pain and despair, is told death is a solution. We call it compassion. It is not. It is surrender. A culture that cannot carry the broken will eventually eliminate them. That is not dignity. That is despair dressed up as mercy. The defense of life must be wider. It cannot stop at the unborn. It must stand for the violated, the disabled, the suffering, the forgotten. Otherwise, we simply change who we abandon. And let us be honest: doctors are skilled, but they are not moral authorities. The same hands that heal can also be trained to end life. Skill is not wisdom. Noelia did not need death. She needed protection, love, constancy, and meaning. Life belongs to God. We do not restore dignity by consenting to death, but by refusing to abandon the wounded.

@chalethigh1 @alvinfoo What? Reaction time of a healthy young male is 200 to 300 milliseconds. He had time to react, but not much to do. The passengers reported it felt harder than usual right after the landing and then the thud as it struck the truck. All he could do was brake harder. We will see.

@alvinfoo He did the best he could with what he had. 9 seconds is not even time to react. He landed and ran into the fire truck. It was not heroism, no matter how anyone wants to paint it. He did not have time to even think about what to do. Not sure why everyone wants a hero?

It has repeatedly been argued that she is depressed and has a history of suicidal ideation and at least one suicide attempt. All of which should make her ineligible to anyone with a brain.

We recognize it as a symptom of serious issues and then help. We don't take it into a court and argue that sure, she should jgkh.

But it damn sure should not be offered to anyone who also has a PREVIOUS HISTORY of suicide attempt. Are you kidding me? They are failing her.

Then you make a plan with solutions for the worst and work your way down. If anything on the list has an instant solution- it gets done immediately. The rest are tracked.

Her name is Noelia Castillo and tomorrow she will be the first person to receive euthanasia for depression in Spain. She was living in a supervised center with unaccompanied minors when she was gang raped by them. Afterwards, she tried to unalive herself by jumping from a fifth floor. But she became paraplegic instead. She’s 25 years old and today is her last day alive. Praying she can feel Jesus love before tomorrow and changes her mind. 🙏🏻

People who are NOT near death should not be supported in suicide, especially not when they are depressed. It is inhumane not to treat her depression and address her specific life complaints.
