Excited to finally announce I’m on Year 4 next year! Looking forward to gaining more experience in the Stage 2 area and can’t wait to have my own classroom!

Today I attended a Zoom presentation for my internship this year with SCS. What an amazing experience it’s been this year working as a part-time teacher at the most incredible school! Congrats to the other interns also for this amazing achievement! Feeling grateful ✨🤍

In this Science lesson, students explored the forces involved with parachutes. They created their own parachutes using recycled plastic bags, string, tape and a ‘weight’ of their choice. Safe to say they thoroughly enjoyed this hands-on lesson!

Having gifted and extension students in my Year 2 class means that I have to be creative and really challenge my students. Today in guided reading groups, my extension group read a Year 3 NAPLAN text and had to design their own ‘park sign’ with rules and regulations!

Yesterday I completed my last workshop for the MEE course at a Proficient level. It was such a great experience and allowed me to revise the syllabus, and learn new ways to teach Mathematics. Yesterday’s focus was on reviewing scope and sequences at our school!

Today I accepted a full time position at my intern school for next year! Feeling extremely blessed and excited to begin this new chapter, and continue to learn through different experiences 🙌🏼 It’s so surreal right now but I couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity! 🥳

Such a great feeling today receiving 5/5 on my GTPA! A massive weight off my shoulders and what a way to end my university experience 🙌🏼 Congratulations to all of my university peers! What a journey it’s been 🤍 #ACUedu_p

Yesterday I did a casual day for the sport teacher at our school. What a great experience! I worked with 7 different classes throughout the day and it taught me a lot about time management, behaviour management and organisation ✅ I was definitely exhausted by the end! #ACUedu_p

Today we began our new Science unit on the Physical World, investigating push and pull forces. The students investigated forces using toys like fishing rods, trucks, dancing toys and water pistols. They had lots of fun and it allowed them to make real-life connections! #ACUedu_p

Happy to say I completed my first ever casual day today! I had a beautiful Kindergarten class at my school & they made my day so special 😊 One thing we did was create artworks inspired by Goldilocks & the 3 bears using potatoes! Back to my Year 2s tomorrow ❤️ #ACUedu_p

Today officially marked the final day of my last ever placement! What an amazing 7 weeks with my Year 2 students 🙌🏼 I’m so lucky I get to keep working with these students as I continue my part-time internship for the rest of the year! #ACUedu_p

@ICTLaurens @Davo452 Technology was incorporated in the first lesson when they researched existing ideas and incorporated some of those elements into their own designs - just couldn’t fit it all in one post!

THREE LITTLE PIGS STEM CHALLENGE • I planned this assessment task for Science (Material World) where Ss had to design a house inspired by the 3 little pigs that could withstand the “blow of the Wolf” (hairdryer). Ss had to use the given materials & work in teams! #ACUedu_p
