@LeeHurstComic My EVs fuel costs are about 10% of my old car, and I have a lease so losses are evened out over the contract period. It makes sense just from a financial point of view

I predict the whole EV car market will break its back on the second hand market. They will simply not retain any value, both practical and financial and the EV car fleets currently being bought will end up sitting idle in expensive car parks.

I pity him a lot, just that what's football without the banter? He's in a line of work where fans banter all year, every year, and his recent performance put the banter spotlight on him. I'm also guilty of this, but can I help it? Aren't Man United fans worldwide also guilty of this? We all are!

Harry Maguire’s mom statement. “As a mum, seeing the level of negative and abusive comments in which is receiving from some fans, pundits and the media is disgraceful and totally unacceptable to any walk of life never mind someone who works his socks off for club and country”. “I was there in the stands as usual, it’s not acceptable what’s been created over nothing”. “I understand that in world of football there are ups and downs, positive and negatives but what Harry receives has gone far beyond football”. “For me seeing him go through what’s he’s going through is not ok. I’d hate to have to see other parents or players go through this in future, especially young boys and girls breaking through the ranks today”. “Harry has a massive heart and it’s a good job he’s mentally strong and can handle it as others may not be able too”. “I wish this sort of abuse on nobody”.

@Free_ByTheSea @AllisonPearson Absolute nonsense. The only people mining Lithium are the Aussies. The rest is done by evaporation. You may have got confused with cobalt mining but that’s nonsense too

If everyone buys an EV there won’t be enough electricity to power it. Where are the plans to expand the grid? WHERE? Our country’s transport plans are being done on a Wing and a Prayer. Reckless.

However much research, data and evidence you have, can you influence public policy against the vested interests of politicians and the markets?

Jonathan Gullis briefing journalists on his plans to lead the Conservative Party may well be the funniest thing I have heard in a long time.

Recent reports are suggesting that Liverpool have been watching Jarrod Bowen for a number of seasons, but could the West Ham star be a realistic Mohamed Salah successor? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🔄🇪🇬 @HenryJackson87 gives his thoughts 👇

@BarbaraSutton15 This is a bit dissimilar myth to the one where all business leaders ‘must’ be Tory voters.

Once again, the government responsible for alerting people to these problems is populated by people dedicated to denying the existence of these problems. Absolute madness.

When the law enforcers make up the law as they go along, with no regard to the law, compliance to their tyranny is surrender or agreement. I am proud to stand in contempt of those who abuse the law. You will NEVER take my free speech away. Ever.

So, Liverpool end the transfer window without signing a defender. Is that a decision that will come back to bite?

You will have read many times on Twitter that the UK economy has been the worst performing among the G7’s most prosperous nations since the pandemic. Said without caveat and often gleefully by a Twitter mob that revels in doing the country down. Well, now that the official stats have been revised independently, an up-to-date G7 league table shows this: the UK lagged behind only the fast-growing North American economies of the US and Canada. It has outperformed Europe’s three major economies — Germany, France and Italy, as well as Japan — since the pandemic. Who wudda thunk it?!
