Charles Fultz (@CharlieFultz40), general manager and golf course superintendent at Heritage Oaks Golf Course in Harrisonburg, Va., has been chosen to receive the 2025 Leo Feser Award. The award is presented annually to the author of the best superintendent-written article published in @GCM_Magazine. His article, “Help wanted: Why knowing when to ask for help with your mental health can be a good thing,” appeared in the June 2025 issue. @bloom_golf The efficacy of phosphites as a pythium preventative on rye grass fairways. Not really an agronomist practice but a popular component to spray programs. Obviously this year was a mess in the mid Atlantic region but even in years past I’ve never had good results.
