Child Sex Offender Dies in Collision Hours Before Sentencing A Bradford man, Matthew Lee Harrison, died in a car crash on the morning of October 31, after his Nissan Navara collided with a wall at the junction of Dryden Street and Buck Street, in the city. Harrison, 33, was scheduled to appear in Bradford Crown Court later that day for sentencing on charges including two counts of rape of a child, sexual assault of a child, rape, and assault of a child by penetration. The court had initially addressed the case in 2022 when Harrison, then living in Swain House, was accused. The proceedings were mentioned on October 31 and subsequently rescheduled for November 28. An inquest at Bradford Coroners Court, conducted by Senior Coroner Martin Fleming on November 13, revealed that Harrison died from multiple injuries sustained in the collision at 7.09am. Unemployed and single at the time, he was identified through a police system photo. The inquest was adjourned until March 5, 2024. Buck Street, located off Leeds Road on the outskirts of Bradford city centre, was cordoned off for most of the day as police conducted their investigations. fb.watch/oh_hjG3s-s/
