I find Mikel’s post match views very statistical.
E.g, vs Everton he said we deserved to win (1.58 xG) and he’s numerically correct.
But the counter is if a team is intentionally surrendering territory, they deserve the margins to go their way if the xG conceded is just 1.58.

Even though I’m not going to overreact like some are, I do think Mikel got it wrong today. Timber is a RB and what he gives us in that position should outweigh any gap he needs to cover. Same with Partey, his main qualities are wasted at RB and we missed him in the middle.

@1point76acres just telling on himself that he doesn't actually understand the approaches. We don't build up or attack like city, really.
We have some overlapping principles, but most high level teams from the last 5 years have had most of those principles.
