I'm familiar with it because I was an insurance broker for 30+ years and sold it. Dental insurance pays a small portion of orthodontics, and your dental insurance costs more than what it covers. You literally would have been better off not buying the insurance and just paying for the braces out of pocket.

This mom gets the estimate for her teenage son's braces and her reaction is pure, relatable shock. She sits there staring at the paper: over $6,000 for full top-and-bottom braces. "What? Like who can afford over $6,000 for braces?" she says, voice cracking with disbelief. Her son needs them for an overbite and just one or two crooked teeth—"his teeth aren't even that crooked"—but it's still full treatment. She thought maybe it was $1,900 or something (perhaps a down payment), but nope, the numbers are real. He's got two insurances (one through mom, one through dad), yet the estimate only factors in dad's. She hopes hers kicks in more, especially since her daughter only needed top braces before. But even so, she's floored: "Oh my god, this can't be real. This can't be real. Parents, is this real?" This is the everyday reality hitting so many families right now. A basic need like fixing your kid's teeth turns into a massive financial gut punch—thousands out of pocket, even with insurance, while you're already dealing with life’s other curveballs. Kids shouldn't have to go without straight teeth and confidence because orthodontics costs more than a used car. Parents shouldn't have to choose between braces and bills. Who's been hit with a braces quote that made you do a double-take? Or is this just what we Americans have to deal with in 2026?

@Isabella_700 The amount of absolute morons on here clutching their pearls over the father's actions is exactly why we have an entire generation of young social retards in the world today who can't decide what gender they are, and panic at the thought of working a 9-5 job.

@TrumpGirlLove I have to give the Cubans credit. They've put up with complete poverty for over 65 years and those who stayed have survived it for the most part. Regardless of how bad it looks there, it looks a lot worse in Pakistan and India, supposed democratic republics.

@GB4108 @GunloverClub1 Everything about warfare is heartless. It doesn't matter if the weapon is a drone or a tank. Drones just allow us to see the faces of those who are being killed seconds before death, and that makes what was already bad look even worse.

Why This Feels Like a War Crime? In any other era, if you were out of ammo or cornered, there was a slim chance of surrender or a "fair" end. But you can't surrender to a kamikaze drone. It doesn't have a heart, it doesn't take prisoners, and it doesn't understand mercy.

The three decades of the 70's through the 90's saw the peak of human existence. Those of us who were lucky enough to live through those years as teens and young adults got to experience the world at it's pinnacle. Nothing better had come before that time, and it's gone downhill ever since. Technology isn't making humans better, it's stealing our humanity.

The youts of today missed out not being born in the 1960s. We actually did have a great time - and it was never boring without smartphones. So next time you look at your grandma - or grandpa - and think we are boring - know you really missed out! God Bless The USA! 🫵🇺🇸😎

One of my earliest memories from over 60 years ago is my brother and I taking dried milkweed seed pods and floating them down a small creek like little boats. Then dad bought a small farm and we grew up in the country and always played outside. Being inside was only for eating dinner and sleeping.

@cmspet @GunloverClub1 Steve, this is the first successful “surrender” video I’ve ever seen from Ukraine. I have seen perhaps hundreds (including 8-12 in compilation form) where the soldiers are blown up. One surrender accepted, but hundreds killed.

I guessed every one of the ladies ages within 2 years. It's more than just wrinkles and makeup that gives away a woman's age. Women older than 30 almost always have capped and very white teeth, and their eyes can give away their age with or without plastic surgery. It's also their attitude and the way they talk. I'm 65 and look every year of that age, but I worked hard for it, and I don't try to hide it.

The only thing that has changed is that most women's vanity has greatly increased. There will always be women (and men) who look many years or decades younger than their actual age. For the rest of women, they're left will overdone makeup, plastic surgery, drugs and clothing that all look ridiculous on them.

@HistorylandHQ The tree could easily still be there after 200 years, but the fact that it is the same size and has the same general appearance and shape is pretty solid evidence that the modern photo is AI.

Yes I remember them, and many of the original buildings are still around especially in northern California and are now other restaurants serving things like hot wings. There was also another northern California taco chain called Tijuana Taco and they were just as good if not better than Taco Bell. My wife worked at a Tijuana Taco around 1980 when she was in high school.

Creedence Clearwater Revival dining at a Taco Bell, San Luis Obispo, California, 1968. This is the original Taco Bell location, the Santa Rosa Street location. Notice the old-school mission-style architecture and the 25-cent menu items on the wall behind them. Did you ever eat at one of these original locations back in the day?

BART completely ignored the north bay and we are grateful for that. While millions of people moved to the east bay because they found if easy to commute to San Francisco for work, the north bay was left with only the Golden Gate bridge for commuters, so growth was limited, and real estate prices in the north soared.
