Hard truth: Schools cannot fully overcome poor parenting. Teachers are burning out trying to do the jobs of educator, counselor, disciplinarian, and parent all at once. At some point, accountability has to return to the home.

Baseball & softball hitters: please stop looking at your stats, looking up your stats, or searching your name or your last name on Twitter. Your focused on the byproducts, not the focal points. They are a distraction from the present moment, and what actually matters..getting better daily. Having a simple focus in the cage. Having a convicted approach in game. Your daily goal is to continuing to make progress in your career. You also know that the numbers don't always tell the full story. You stay focused on some simple stuff consistently enough. When the season is over, your numbers will be where you want them to be. Instead of looking up your stats and caring so much about the stats, understand that they are an output based on the inputs that you're putting into your daily systems: - Your mental systems - Your mechanical systems - Your daily Pre-game focus - Your in-game approach If these 4 aren't all dialed in, the numbers probably won't go in your favor. Food for thought 💭 It's a much more enjoyable day-to-day process when you are writing down what you're focused on for your cage work or your practice and judging your day-to-day work based off of that, instead of focusing on what your batting average is or what your OPS is. Understand that those things will be a reflection of your systems and your ability to stay boring and consistent with your thoughts.
