@cubert9 The John series is really all over the place, length-wise, isn't it? 100k, 100k, 130k, 180k, 150k, and now 117k. I'll be curious to hear what you think! This one is more focused than ADMF, but still goes to some odd places. Hopefully, it resolves some long-running threads!

Wow this made my weekend. Always wish these books were longer right? I mean what else am I supposed to use to fill up my book shelves these days? Literally the only author I've got physical media for I think. Well maybe a few Sanderson books but Chris's take center stage

5,310 more words today and Godswar is done, done, done! 117k words, proving once again that I suck at predicting wordcount, even when I'm almost finished. I'll start formatting tonight and will then send it out to my sainted beta readers this week for an abbreviated beta. 😅

4,642 words today. Finished the climactic chapter, which took a lot more brain power but also a lot less space than expected. One wrap-up chapter left, I think, then the epilogue. Looks like we'll end up around ~117k-120k words this time? Shorter than expected, but respectable.

4,649 words today on Godswar, another chapter is done, and the final climactic scene has begun. 107k words so far, with maybe... 3 more chapters to go? Plus an epilogue? 15kish? I've got a few twists left to throw at my readers because they secretly love the pain.

4,125 words today and I finished the chapter I started last night. Godswar's chapters are getting longer as we near the story's climax, but a lot of stuff had to happen in this one. And yes, at least 70% of it was talking, but it was *eventful* talking, damn it! 😅

I survived the video taping; it only took 2 hours and roughly 75 takes across two different devices. 😭 Hopefully, our editors will be able to do their magic & will cut to campaign graphics whenever my face makes odd expressions that seem designed to scare small children. 😅

2,963 words today on Godswar & finished a chapter. Much better day than yesterday, even if the numbers don't quite reflect it. Pausing now to do my least favorite thing in the world--video myself for the new Kickstarter--but I'll get some more words down tonight.

3,054 words today. I'll try to add another 1-2k tonight and finish up the chapter. I've also been experimenting with starting the next chapter before I go to bed / while I have a full head of steam, so it doesn't feel quite so daunting to start from nothing in the morning.

Fantastic series. I've read it several times and frankly, my only complaint was I wanted more. So glad this universe is still growing. Never seen an author so great at creating side characters I want to read more about.

I wrote 52k words on Godswar this month, went live with the pre-launch page for the Red Right Hand 5th Anniversary hardcover Kickstarter, & now it looks like See These Bones will be getting a German translation. Not the best month I've had for sales, but it was productive!
