@Gibboanxious One of my favorite Bond movies. Gah the haters are wrong on this one. We have a lot of Schlock but a lot of fun stuff. One of the greatest Bond villains, some really goofy stuff and a great sound track by Duran Duran.

Space based DC's will be a thing. They're going to happen. This will be another compute tier. Right now with storage we have what is called Hot, Cold and Archive. Depending on frequency of access, performance and so on. We'll have this with compute soon. On Premise, Cloud and Space. Need a giant amount of compute, but don't ok with mild latency issues? Move it to space.

The big question - Where is all the money? I mean yes we know, but why aren't we seizing all the assets of everyone involved? Everything should be seized, auctioned and money pulled back to the Fed. Everything. If money was shipped overseas, like I think most of it was, then we should go there. If it was sent to Somalia, we put them on notice - pay up or we're coming in and taking it. Whatever we have to take.

🚨 NOW: Tim Walz was just exposed for actively SUING the Trump administration to BLOCK fraud prosecutions in the SNAP program Wtf?! And yet Walz claims CREDIT for these fraud raids AAG MCDONALD: "It's very obvious to any honest broker that this type of fraud escalating in Minnesota could have only happened if the people responsible for doling out the money were were willfully blind to the conduct that was ongoing in Minnesota!" "They should open their books and all of these programs. Open the books and allow us to have access to the documentary evidence that we need to prove these offenses." "They've not done that. One example is the SNAP program funded by USDA. Millions and millions of dollars. We've asked them for those records. They're suing us to prevent us from accessing those records!" What is he hiding? HE KNOWS.

Lets face it - if Wemby didn't exist, Chet would be THE dominant big in the NBA. Its so wild that after years of no big men, now we have Chet show up and Wemby happens at the same time. Literally could be the biggest freak of a player in the history of the league. Right when OKC is peaking and could go on a run. The league is in a great place. If they were smart, they'd figure out how to put one of these teams in the east!

🚨 JUST IN: Fraud Czar JD Vance just dropped a BOMBSHELL saying Nick Shirley has been 100% VINDICATED, $90M in fraud has been raided in Minnesota, and more is coming "In one of the most horrifying cases charged today, a recipient who needed 24-hour care was supposed to be receiving exactly that through a Minnesota Medicaid benefit program. But he received nothing...he was found dead." "One day before this man died, the fraudster in question had tried to bill for the non-existent services, the services that if they had been provided, this man might actually be with us today!" "I was shocked when I watched @nickshirleyy's bombshell investigation of migrant fraud in Minnesota, which called attention to the now infamous Quality Learing Center." "This morning, the ringleader of the $250 million Feeding Our Future Fraud Scheme in Minnesota was sentenced in federal court to over 40 years in prison, bringing justice to the countless schoolchildren and families she had scammed. And on top of that, today, federal law enforcement launched a massive raid in Minneapolis!" "Across the city, agents have arrested 15 people for suspected fraud that amounted to $90 million." "In 2018, Minnesota tried to provide housing services for the homeless. They estimated that the cost of the program would be $2.5 million a year. By 2024, the program had exploded to $104 million annually, and almost all of that, almost all of it, was because of fraud." "As a result, the state had to shut down the program and can no longer provide those services to Americans in need!" "The victims in the cases announced by DOJ today also include disabled Americans who rely on community support to live full, independent lives." "If you're committing fraud, our task force will find you. We'll come after you, and we will not rest until justice is served. Don't defraud the American taxpayer."

I never saw the last movie. I never will. The second was the worst movie I've ever sat through. It was just a massive pathetic train wreck. I wanted Finn to be so heroic and the big storm trooper woman and him to have epic clashes. I wanted Luke to storm back in and he a hero. We got whimpering and running away.

Disney is about to delete five years of canon because Rey doesn't move toys. The sequel trilogy did $4.47B at the box office. Force Awakens $2.07B, Last Jedi $1.33B, Rise of Skywalker $1.07B. The merchandise tells a different story. Star Wars merchandise peaked at $700M in 2015 when Force Awakens launched. By 2019, the year Rise of Skywalker shipped with a billion-dollar marketing push as the supposed finale of the Skywalker Saga, Hasbro's Star Wars line was doing roughly $150M. A 70%+ collapse during the trilogy's own theatrical run. Then 2020 happened. No new movies. A streaming show legally unavailable in most international markets. Hasbro's Star Wars revenue grew 70% year-over-year. One character named Grogu outsold three years of sequel-trilogy merchandise. The sequel cast specifically can't move inventory at any price point. Rey, Finn, Poe, Rose, Holdo: Walmart clearance for years. Diamond Select's president said sales on TFA and TLJ products "were not too strong." Hasbro silently stopped producing Rise of Skywalker figures mid-line. There is no mass-market action figure for Poe, Finn, Lando, unmasked Kylo, Palpatine, or Leia from that movie. The licensees gave up before the trilogy finished releasing. The Lucasfilm acquisition was a $4.05B bet on the merchandise flywheel that built modern Hollywood toy licensing. Kenner's best year selling Original Trilogy toys, adjusted for inflation, outperformed the entire Disney era combined. That's the asset Disney bought. Galaxy's Edge runs the same play. Over $1B per park to build a Star Wars land set on a sequel-era planet nobody cared about. Both parks underperformed projections. The Mandalorian-themed expansion now under construction is the admission. If the rumor lands, this is the most expensive retcon in entertainment history. Five years of IP development written off because the licensees voted with their order books. Luke, Han, Leia, Vader, Boba, Mando, Grogu, Ahsoka generate revenue. The sequel cast generates returns.

RUMOR: Disney to Remove Star Wars Sequel Trilogy From Timeline to Resume Focus on Original Characters "If true, this would be one of the most dramatic franchise shifts in modern Hollywood history."

Jeff Bezos Responds to Seattle Officials After Leaving For Miami Over Wealth Tax Seattle’s political elite may have just received the most devastating financial reality check in modern city history after Jeff Bezos quietly confirmed that Washington’s aggressive new tax structure played a major role in his decision to flee to Florida, a move that reportedly saved the Amazon founder close to $1 billion while leaving Seattle staring at a collapsing revenue model built around billionaires who can leave faster than lawmakers can pass another tax bill. What makes the situation even more humiliating for city leaders is that Bezos did not scream, threaten, or launch some dramatic billionaire rebellion against Mayor Katie Wilson after she publicly laughed, waved “bye,” and dismissed concerns about wealthy residents leaving the city. Instead, he simply ran the numbers, changed his address to Miami, sold billions in Amazon stock, and calmly pointed out that the tax revenue Washington expected from him no longer exists because he no longer lives there. “Apparently, telling the richest man connected to your city that he’s irrelevant works slightly worse when he takes half your projected tax model with him.” As Starbucks founder Howard Schultz escapes to a $44 million Florida penthouse, Amazon shifts workers out of Seattle, downtown vacancy rates explode, and lawmakers double down on even higher millionaire taxes despite a near 50% drop in capital gains revenue within a single year, critics are now warning that Seattle may have become the most terrifying live experiment in America showing what happens when ideological politics collides headfirst with economic math and the people funding the system quietly walk away. “Seattle’s $1B mistake revealed 👇”

Why do you think it's always about working for someone else? You're not You're working to be productive for yourself. You are an idiot if you think that means sacking groceries. It might mean volunteering or writing a book. You've got to have meaning. Just sitting around for 40 years doing nothing is a recipe for disaster mentally and financially. I know someone that literally won the lottery and now he drives for Uber because he gets bored. He just wants to be active

@cubert9 @TheAlphaThought You're retarded. Someone that reaches this tier is like 1% of the population... If you made it this far, fuck off you don't need to do anything for anyone. That said, if you reach the top 0.1 or 0.01%, 90% of your income should go towards taxes put into the system that built you

@TheStingisBack @DraxGeekyPundit Great movie - for a while. I felt it got too dark. A lot of 80's movies have this issue. I think the worst of them was pretty much everything Robin Williams did for a while - Good Morning Vietnam is a prime example.

Tom Cruise lost his virginity twice in the early ’80s. Once to Rebecca De Mornay in Risky Business… and (weirdly) to Shelley Long in the forgotten Losin’ It. Yep: young Tom awkwardly getting laid by Diane from Cheers. I had no idea this movie even existed until yesterday.

Not in anyway is the Thunder "Better" without Dub. The guy is a top 20 player. He's probably top 3 SF right now because of his 2 way play - when he's healthy. The issue is that he's not fully integrated into the team and they don't function as smoothly right now. They have spent months without him and when he suddenly is out there - you see some disruption on Offense. I think we may have a smoother offense in the short term, which is all we really have, if Dub is out. I hate it. I wish he was out there and had the past 12-15 games on the floor instead of what has happened, but reality is reality

Legit comment and question What the hell do Gen Z think they need to buy that they can't? Our first house was 1000 sq ft. We liquidated everything we had to have a down payment. We lived there 6 years and saved up to move into our 2nd home that was actually reasonable. So my question remains - what does Gen Z think is starting? Frankly, this crap of allowing investors and foreign interests to buy up entire swaths of houses for investment has to stop. We have to figure out how to monitor and manage that. There has to be stock of inexpensive housing available for young people. If all of that stuff has been soaked up by slum lords, thats no bueno either.

Not totally unfair. But to say never is a tall order (pun intended) Durant was a generational scorer and had such a deep bag. People forget how athletic this guy was and how much he loves to ball. He played so much ball that I'm shocked he's still able to go honestly. If Wemby has a 10 year career, I'll be a bit surprised. This guy is a freak of nature. Nobody has been this size and played an extended time injury free. We'll see. Wemby doesn't have the bag Durant had, but Durant will never be 7'6 (he's sure as hell not 6'9 either)
NBACentral@TheDunkCentral

Jeff Teague doesn’t think Victor Wembanyama will ever be as good as peak Kevin Durant “I’m going to keep it real, man. We love Wemby because we ain’t never seen nothing like it. But he’s not fu*king with KD, bro.” (Via @club520podcast / h/t @NBA__Courtside )
