Chris's next book, the sixth in his John Smith series, is coming on April 30th! This is one of those books I happily pre-order, then buy the actual book. I mostly read KU and Royal Road, but Chris, I'll jump through hoops to support because his books never miss. I would rather flush 10 aircraft than one American life. Want tactical justification? The training and investment in that pilot outweighs anything we can build. These guys are THAT skilled. The "leave no man behind" doctrine is actually a strategic weakness disguised as a virtue. Name one other military on earth that destroys 6 aircraft and fights a ground battle inside a sovereign nation to recover one pilot. You can't. Because no other military confuses tactical sentimentality with strategic logic. Soldiers serve the mission. The mission doesn't serve the soldier. The US has now established that Iran can shoot down an F-15, then watch America spend $300M and expose Delta Force trying to prove it didn't happen. That's not military doctrine. That's politics with weapons. A military that cannot accept the risk of loss cannot win wars. The US hasn't won one since 1945.

@GAltringham I'll accept this. Dredd was AMAZING. If I could point to any one thing I was hoping there would be a proper sequel to, it was his Dredd movie. That was a fantastic ride. Wow what a miss that we didn't get another.

We subscribe to DirecTV. We have for a very very long time and currently pay $110 a month. We don't watch a lot of things, mostly Reelz (on patrol live!) and Thunder Basketball. We do enjoy having a traditional menu system with channel #s and we still have our old dish on the roof. Not many will have that going forward with DTV Streaming now for the same cost as the old satellite. But for $110 a month, we got everything we watch just about. I know this won't capture all users, but moving to Prime would be the best path forward in my opinion. They can carry 4k broadcast. The subscription has a ton more value than just a streaming service for most users.

To watch all Thunder games right now, it costs around $70 per month for all the streaming subscriptions. A local, over the air option for a significant number of games would be a great way for the @okcthunder to reward the loyalty of the best fans in the NBA. Bring it home!

Wow lots of responses Lets make something clear. I never said the builder shouldn't be stepping up to provide and build infrastructure. Secondly, if you're anti data center and anti AI, I guess that's cool but what do you think China and other leaders are doing? Do you think they're going to stop? If we don't build, they are. If we fall behind, they're going to stomp us.

I'm 100% ok with data centers Everyone else needs to get off the shit and get behind them too And we have to start building POWER PLANTS. We need NUKE. We need CNG and Oil and everything else. We better start building infrastructure. The future needs all of this and I'm sorry folks, but you wanna know where money is? Where good paying jobs will be? What will take us into the future? This is it! Quit fighting this. This is GOOD
