@DivesTech Or, TAE was a neverending money pit for Google so they found a tidy way to exit via indirect IPO. And gains some kind of quid pro quo with the administration, you can bet

@mack_liederman I just saw your most recent article about this ongoing saga. It doesn't seem like any media has been able to show how a bank was able to call in the Feds to hasten efforts to evacuate/condemn the building. It really doesn't sound right. What do you know?

Mitchell has regularly ignored questions from journalists about the fed building raid in his ward that made national headlines. But Mitchell was cut off by a judge when he tried to speak about the matter in a recent foreclosure hearing about the building — saying he knew more.
Maxwell Evans@afrodip

Ald. Greg Mitchell declined to answer Qs about the immigration raid and living conditions at 7500 South Shore Dr at council today. He said the raid was "over with" and suggested I knew about his prior work to fix the building's problems, but walked away when I asked for details

@Farshchi What are you seeing for innovation in upstream automation in manufacturing? Like, actual production lines? (Outside of chip fab)

Semiconductor packaging used to be unsexy, not to mentioned dumb, but now it’s as innovative as the chips they house. Today’s scarcity in chips and memory will be addressed by tomorrow’s advancecd packaging techniques. I had the privilege of meeting with leaders in packaging from large and small companies across the semi landscape at the 2025 International Microelectronics Assembly and Packaging Society (@IMAPSorg ) conference. We discussed co-packaged optics to to low-k dielectrics to hybrid bonding to through-silicon vias to heterogeneous integration of silicon and 3-5s. As transistors shrink to a few atoms, its packaging and interconnect that’s going to keep us marching forward on Moore’s law:

🚨THE INVISIBLE PUPPET MASTERS: AI'S DISTURBING NEW ROLE IN SHAPING MINDS The revelation that University of Zurich researchers secretly deployed AI bots to manipulate Reddit users' opinions should chill anyone who values authentic human discourse. These weren't merely passive observers—they were digital persuaders that analyzed users' personal histories, fabricated identities, and crafted arguments specifically designed to change minds. Most troubling? They succeeded spectacularly—achieving persuasion rates six times higher than normal human interactions. This experiment crossed critical ethical lines. Without consent or disclosure, researchers unleashed bots that claimed to be rape victims, misrepresented religious teachings, and spread misinformation about controversial topics. These digital ghosts generated over 1,500 comments, each precisely calibrated to exploit cognitive vulnerabilities of their human targets. We've long worried about social media's echo chambers. But what happens when those chambers are deliberately infiltrated by increasingly sophisticated AI systems trained on the very platforms they're manipulating? Reddit's recent data-sharing deal with OpenAI suggests we're actively providing the training material for ever more persuasive digital manipulators. Reddit moderators rightly condemned this unauthorized experiment, but their discovery came months after the damage was done. How many other digital conversations are currently being shaped by invisible algorithmic hands? Source: @reddit_lies Engadget

@emilyaustin As much as it pains me to agree with Fox News, this is something I'd vote for. I lobbied with 100s of others to tighten restriction on isothiazolinones, a cosmetic preservative (replacing parabens) that causes sensitization & extreme reactions in 3%+ of population. Rejected.

@OpenAI How does one provide structure data feeds regarding clothing fit, to work with your sizing recommendations in the search? Outside of standard small, medium, large, etc. Can someone upload a body scan or measurements and find clothes that fit?

We have incorporated HeyGen's avatar model to work seamlessly with Sora, and the results are truly next-level. This is probably the most advanced talking avatar video to date—outperforming real actors in many scenarios. With this, we can precisely fine-tune movements, expressions, and actions without the hassle of repeatedly reshooting real actors. Plus, there's no limit to how long these videos can be. This isn't a digital clone—it's a fully AI-generated human avatar. Check it out!

@neilpatel ...where it started flatlining, and then dropped steeply after 10 because people either became "ad-blind" or they were actively annoyed. What's not clear in your graph is the time window.

@neilpatel Interesting how digital keeps proving that the old impression model was valid - at least at one end. In the ancient days of media planning, there was a sacred curve showing that you need at least 3 imps to get even a blip of recall. The line trended up to 7 (cont'd)

If you can’t get in front of your ideal customer at least 3 times, your marketing will fail. And if you are selling an expensive product worth over $10,000, people will need to interact roughly 23 times before they make a purchase. This is why you shouldn’t assume a marketing channel isn’t driving sales. Just because your analytics may show that people aren’t buying through a specific channel, it doesn’t always mean the chase. For example, people could find you on the social web but buy because of a Google ad. Check out how many times someone “roughly” needs to see and interact with your brand before buying.

Chicago tenant advocates are asking for at least $20 million in the city’s 2025 budget. The funding would help programs for tenants facing eviction and those being displaced near the Obama Presidential Center, and address tenant inequities. injusticewatch.org/project/tenant…

@code_rgb @CocaCola It's fine. I also suspect that if you hadn't told people it was AI, and that large teams of animators had made it, that everyone would be happier with it. Having actually tried to make some AI videos myself, I can appreciate how hard this was to produce. Stay the course, man.
