It's completely normal to want the football program to have a great player if you're a football diehard or want the same for baseball if you're a seam head. But there's a lotta people in the Texas community this week passing off their self-interest as life advice.

I don't think it's a reporter's place to weigh in on the Jonah Williams conversation. But if you've got a really strong opinion about it, I think you should probably ask yourself whether you're actually thinking about a 19-year-old's interests or if you're just aligning yourself with the Texas sports program you care about more.
