1/ A lot of people think Rudolph is “just a backup” or “no options.” Let’s break down his actual performance and project what he’d do as a true Week 1 starter.

@StardustRedding If they were run better everyone would be happier. Art's retirement can't come soon enough.

@StardustRedding I don't know why we act like these defensive guys deserve some sort of 'all in' mentality. They are the biggest reason they don't have a playoff win in the past decade. If they were as good as Houston's defense we probably beat the Bills in 2023, and perhaps the Ravens in 24.

Why do you want Rodgers back at QB??? This is why… roster is too good to leave these fellas hanging like that. Gimme Rodgers to lead the way

Steelers insider @MarkKaboly thinks, if everyone stays healthy, Mason Rudolph may be the odd-man out and the Steelers keep Drew Allar and Will Howard to back up Rodgers.

@steelernation The 20 year old girl in Milledgeville wasn't happy with being sexually assaulted by Ben. He'll get over it. She never will.

@steelcityundrgr I'd go with the guy you hasn't taken a snap. We all know what mediocre is, we've been living it for a decade.

@pd_2626 @Steelersdepot Thought we were finally done with when he retired. His opinions were divisive enough when he was playing; now they’re just an unnecessary distraction.

@dawatchman @Steelersdepot And aside from garbage yardage, stunk in all but maybe 2 of his postseason appearances

@joeybagovdonuts If Rodgers comes back they will waive Howard and put him on the practice squad. Any team that claims him must put him on their 53-man roster. For most teams, using a precious roster spot on another team's sixth-round project who hasn't played a down is a tough sell.

If Aaron Rodgers does sign with Steelers, I don’t think Mason Rudolph goes anywhere. They’ll keep all 4 QBs & one of them will have a phantom injury

@H2Pburgh @Steigerworld2 And who are the "they" you mentioned anyway? The new coaching staff? You're just upset that they benched Kenny for him.

@dawatchman @Steigerworld2 He sucks. Let it go. He has 19 career starts. The Steelers would never sniff a Super Bowl with him at qb. What are you even watching?

Where is the evidence to suggest that Mason Rudolph is the Steelers’ third best QB right now?

@H2Pburgh @Steigerworld2 They don't know shit. He was never given the keys to the team, or had an offense built around him as he would have if he was the starter. People knew who Darnold was too.

Sources: the Steelers placed the rare UFA tender on Aaron Rodgers, meaning that he can accept a 10 percent raise off last year’s salary, which would pay him about $15 million this season. As another condition of the tender, Rodgers would only be able to sign with the Steelers once training camp begins.

@MarkKaboly It's the law to use your seat belt. There is no law saying they had to do this, and they wouldn't have if they knew he was coming (as you have said numerous times).

The way I look at Steelers putting tender on Aaron Rodgers is this: It's unlikely when you get into your car that you are going to get into a wreck yet you put your seatbelt on just in case. It doesn't hurt anything to do it, so you just do it.

Forget about your feelings and emotions about Rodgers - the only relevant question is this: are the Steelers better in 2026 with Rodgers than with Allar/Howard/Rudolph or anyone else available? The answer is yes

@MarkKaboly "Rodgers is their best option to break a 10-year playoff winless streak ..." He looked it against the Texans. 🙄 By the time the playoffs roll around he will be 43, tired, beat-up and no position to win anything. When did winning a playoff game become goal anyway? Pathetic.
