BITHUMB ACCIDENTALLY SENDS OUT 2000 BTC TO USERS WHO IMMEDIATELY MARKET DUMP
A major operational mistake at South Korea’s crypto exchange Bithumb reportedly led to the accidental distribution of 2,000 BTC ($130M) instead of 2,000 KRW ($1.50) as a rewards payout.
According to multiple reports, a staff member intended to issue a small random prize worth about $1.50 but mistakenly entered BTC as the unit.
As a result, hundreds of users received unexpected Bitcoin payouts, totaling roughly 2,000 BTC, valued near $130M at current prices.
Recipients immediately sold, causing Bitcoin on Bithumb to crash more than 10% below global market prices before stabilizing.
The incident highlights how internal ledger errors and off-chain accounting can still create severe market dislocations, even in 2026, with no corresponding on-chain movement of real Bitcoin.
A costly reminder that exchange risk remains very real.

I won't change my mind just because people committed $86M (with ~$60M of that in the last 40 minutes) to the ICO
The success of a project isn't measured by how much it raises in an ICO, it's measured by its long-term growth and sustainable performance
What I know is that today, the team behind a project that's been basically dead (with literally 0 volume and near-zero revenue since November) will start receiving $250k/month funded by ICO proceeds, while their entire historical platform revenue has been less than $250k total
This is not a success, and Solana shouldn't celebrate this "achievement" when there are far better projects actually building in the ecosystem
I'll wait a few weeks before commenting on the $RNGR chart, since it will eventually show the true face of this project

Do your own research before investing your money in the @ranger_finance ICO I've seen many paid KOLs in my CT hyping this as the next super-hyped project on @MetaDAOProject, so I decided to dig a bit deeper Many of these KOLs highlight the fact that this should be the first project on MetaDAO with real revenue. However, overall Ranger is registering very low activity in the previous weeks, even though their TGE is tomorrow They have not been added to DefiLlama, and they don't have an analytics dashboard on their website that shows volume and revenue, so I relied on some users' dashboards on Dune Even though the volume has been really low from the beginning, it's evident that both spot and perps activity has been literally zero since November The same applies to their revenue, which has been stuck at essentially zero since November To date, they have accumulated only about $250k in fees from both perps and spot combined Now the question: Why are they trying to raise an additional $6M from the community at a $15M FDV with these metrics? Furthermore, back in January 2025, they had a seed round where they raised $1.9M at a $30M valuation (maybe the answer) It's obvious that with this level of activity and these metrics, both the $15M and $30M valuations are not sustainable at all So why should whales commit money to this launch when they have more upside potential by betting NO on Polymarket? This wallet, presumed to be associated with Justin Sun, just longed millions of $XPL on Hyperliquid, clearing the entire order book and liquidating everyone.
He then started closing his long, making $16M in just one minute. $XPL pumped to $1.80, which is over 200% in 2 minutes
He is still long 15.2M $XPL ($10.2M), one of the craziest liquidation events I’ve ever seen on Hyperliquid
