@SayuriArtsy I was thinking it was really odd. I was hoping it was a dev mode thing. Glad you got ur twitter account back at least.

Volume up🔊Lady and gentlemen, I'm back home! This account was phished/hacked since dec 31, but I got the twitter account back. Though my gmail and discord account have not yet been recovered, this is still a big win. Sorry to have kept you waiting for over 2 months.

@SayuriArtsy I wonder if having the walls be transparent instead of hidden would help some. But ya better than having the camera get stuck.

This game uses The Aquarium View camera angle. A lot of people will may feel it does a bit too much to so how the hotdog is made, But personally I prefer the Aquarium View. The alternative is that the camera is not capable of clipping through geometry and will get caught and boosted when there is something between you and the hero, and I find that very headache inducing.

簡素なミニダンジョン。あと2か所くらい作ってアイテム入りコンテナとか敵キャラを配置したい。 #ゲーム制作 #gamedev

@SayuriArtsy Did this only happen in the remake? I dont remember this from the original. Definitely one of my fav Zeldas.

Indeed, Majora's Mask did have a 4rth wall Break from Link at this particular moment.
Eager Passion@SayuriArtsy
Do you remember that scene from Zelda Majora's Mask, where Link looks at YOU the viewer in disbelief and all these shenanigans and breaks the forth wall at you?

@SayuriArtsy My guess would be that having them on the side would be more beneficial, acting like the anal fin. From what Ive seen is the tail does most of the work and the legs just kind of hang there.

As you know, this was the original design of the Knifin shark girls. I still like this design quite a lot. But years later, I feel like that calf-fin can't actually be used for swimming? So I'm trying to think of a better way to express a fin on the legs. Everything else on the Kinfins can stay, I like their 4 clawed hands and 3 clawed feet. But I need to redesign those leg fins, because we want to believe that these girls are really really good at swimming. And it's not enough to just base your OC on a shark and claim that she swim good. You have to actually design her in a way that makes it feel that if she were real she WOULD swim good.

@SayuriArtsy @Golomogoth @BenjiGameDev Good to hear you will be embracing gamedev again. Funny enough I am actually working on a Zelda 64 style game with monster girls. Majora's Mask was always one of my favorites. I even have a spider girl :D.

Every year I get reminded that there I live in a world where people are still patiently waiting for me to give the complete story of Mayfly. Don't worry. I'm finally doing financially well enough that I'm returning to game design in December. Now I won't immediately be going back to Wings of Glass. But I will be working my way toward it though making smaller games.
As for the 2019 game, yeah I guess one could describe it as a Zelda Like. It's certainly got some mechanical inspirations that are obvious, like how the Dancing Spiders are mechanically identical to the Iron Boots and Hover Boots, and that Mayfly can use the Zora Swim movement to jump high out of water.
But I don't know that someone who WANTS more Zelda 64 would arrive at Wings of Glass and feel like it scratches that itch. I could be wrong about that. In my mind Wings of Glass uses the mechanical language of Zelda 64 a bit, but the structure of the puzzles and vibe is actually based on classic RPGmaker horror games such as Ib and The Witch's House.
But one thing for sure which separates Wings of Glass from the Zelda 64 games is that the Wings of Glass as a story exists to answer the question: "What kind of terrible adventure would you have to claw your way through if the weak and feeble damsel in distress WAS YOU!😱." I'm not even joking about that though. Mayfly being a perpetual weakling who can't fight and never has the ability to become a fighter is an important part of her characterization. People have come up to me before asking if they can put Mayfly in their game, and when I tell them "Mayfly cannot and doesn't fight." They get confused. She can't punch her way through her obstacles, but she can problem solve her way through situations and slip through the cracks in the wall to elude danger.

@KazeEmanuar I mostly remember n64 for janky controls not so much bad visuals. Still love revisiting them every few years.

@SayuriArtsy B feels more natural. A somewhat looks like her feet are twisted inward.

@SayuriArtsy I always remember this combo when I think of fusions and how they dont have to actually make any sense. :D

@SayuriArtsy Makes me think of the Halovians from Star rail. They have wings, halos, and angelic voices.. but are just another space race.

Well tonight was terrifying. Since it was a nice cool night. There I was walking my normal route, when I notice an incoming along the sidewalk across the street some shabby middle aged man walking a bicycle in a grey shirt with a grey baseball cap. He lit a cigarette to smoke. In a non-smoking zone. Already pure evil. I, not wanting to be anywhere near the toxic gases, sped up my stride a bit while he was busy to create distance. But as soon as I was out of the clear, I heard the chain of that bicycle scooting forward, he stopped at my position down the road, only on his side of the sidewalk. No good. I must get away from this smoker, I get an allergic reaction to that stuff, I step up my pace again to make distance. Okay things seem fine. Then I hear the bike chain again. Once again that guy stops pedaling when he matches my position on his side. I need a little break from all this speeding up, so I take a right turn, toward a building that has some benches to sit at. The man continues to walk his bike down his sidewalk. I take a seat for about 4 seconds, get back up and walk back down the path I just came. You know what I noticed though, along side a 45° sidewalk, is that smoking cyclist again, this time shrouded under the tree shadow, but I can still make out all the details to recognize this creature. So now it's really obvious to me that he's following me. And that's creepy. Now, I could either take a right turn to go back down my path, a left turn to go back where I came from before, or straight down a road that's surrounded by other buildings that has a signs saying "NO ENTRY".
So obviously I begin walking down the road that says "NO ENTRY" while the man is still on that 45° sidewalk. I got some pretty good distance while he as doing that, but the moment he's out of that and on gets to the bench, he turns his bicycle 135° in the same direction I walked (passed the NO ENTRY sigh), gets on the seat and starts pedaling. I notice this in my peripheral vision. I take a left turn, and as soon as I get obscured by an art building, I run. He couldn't see me from the angle, but there were lights all over. Thankfully I knew this place well enough to know. Behind a nearby music building. Weirdly on my way there I encounter none other than the stray dog pack. They take note of my existence and seem a bit curious what I was running from, though I detect no aggression from them. Dog pack decides to let me pass. and I make my way to the back court of the music building, where there are no light poles. I sit down at a staircase right behind a brick pillar post of a gate while dog pack investigates why I was running.
I message my brother: "There is this smoking guy on a bicycle who won't stop following me around on my walk."
I am one with the shadow, completely invisible, but I peek my head out just enough to keep an eye on dog pack. Then I see the bicycle smoker man on his bicycle. Then dog pack surrounds him, barking at him. And with that, finally, man decides this isn't worth the trouble, dog pack is able to bark the smoker bicycles away from me, finally.
As I sit, my heart still beating faster than normal from all the running around. I keep sitting in the shroud to catch my breath. Eventually a stand back up. And decide, despite the amazing weather, maybe tonight isn't a great night to have a walk. So I walk back home.
Be safe, there are creeps out there. I was lucky to have enough plot armor that a stray dog pack spawned into existence conveniently at my moment of need.
