@E_KLCloud_Meow9 If budget allows go with M5, it’s a performance beast but the Air has no fans, so under heavy workloads it can throttle (though in most cases you won’t really notice it) M4 is still a solid choice, I’m using the base variant and have had no issues so far i would choose M5 tbh

Need advice 🙏 Picking a MacBook for my dev work: Option A: MacBook Air M4 13" 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 24GB / 512GB (available today 😄but But you have to wait for 6 hours, because I have to clean the litter box and brush the cat first.) Option B: MacBook Air M5 13" 10-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB / 512GB (1 month wait 😭) I'll be running: - Three.js with custom GLSL shaders - WebGL mirror physics rendering - Rust/WASM compilation - Multiple browser tabs for testing Leaning toward M4 because more RAM and more GPU cores for shader work but M5 is newer chip... Which would you pick? 💜

I genuinely don't think anyone at Meta has ever opened WhatsApp desktop. Meta spends billions on AI, VR, and the metaverse… but WhatsApp desktop still can't load chats in 2026. Priorities, I guess. 🤷‍♂️
