Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, heroines, and superstars gathered to celebrate Women's History Month. @SuptBalgobinVCS shared inspiring words on the significance of fostering positive relationships and having role models for women and girls. #AchievingExcellenceTogether

A8 -My classroom management is intentional. I have a purpose and plan for each transition. For the upcoming school year, I want to assist novice teachers that will render positive outcomes in their classrooms. #VCSGreatTeachers

Q4- Authentic praise is easier for me. Ss can spot someone that is not genuine. The actions and body language need to convey the same message. Giving immediate praise is something I need to work on. Ts get busy and miss the opportunity. #VCSGreatTeachers

@DrewesPegFL @meredithg17 I agree. If a colleague is venting and another teacher is nearby, this can easily be viewed as complaining. Complaining can become contagious, spreading negativity around.

@meredithg17 Q3 Yes, venting if done privately with a colleague can be helpful if you also listen to his/her ideas and steps to resolve problems whereas complaining is just being negative without being open to solutions #VCSGreatTeachers

@P2025Stacie I agree. The more ideas we share as a team, creates effective lessons that can make a positive impact on the students' learning.

A8: Collaborate! This is when we come together as a team a discuss the assessments and get other ideas from teammates to see how they presented their lessons. I think by doing this you can remediate and test the students again with new revamped lesson ideas. #VCSGreatTeachers

@meredithg17 Q5 -Teachers need to remain calm and stay in business mode when "the disruptor" is trying to move the teacher into parent or child mode.

@meredithg17 A2- #VCSGreatTeachers One variable is how often a teacher uses behavioral strategies or their bag of tricks to correct a behavior. A great teacher may use their toolbox once or twice a day. An ineffective teacher may use their toolbox more frequently within an hour.
